Mumbai,30.11.21-Food is may be the only universal thing that really has the power to bring families and people together. When I was a little kid, I used to help my mother in the kitchen. She would always make my favourite dishes. Watching her cooking and due to her blessings, I sharpened myself to try out new and exciting recipes. With time Cooking has become a passion for me. Cooking for me is an art full of creativity, where you explore your kitchen, mix your imagination and innovation with a twist to put together a delicious meal. I am Madhulika Vatsal presenting for you all some very amazing, delicious,yet very simple and easy recipes to win a lot of praise and make you feel overjoyed, proud and accomplished. Makki ki roti

Ingredients -

250gram maize flour

1 tsp salt

Method -

Sieve maize flour, add salt and make a soft dough using water. Knead the dough with your palm till it becomes crack free. Take a big portion of dough, make a ball. Dust the rolling board with dry flour, place the ball, and flatten it the help of the palm, seal the cracks of the sides. Prepare a thick disc with this method. Heat a tawa on medium flame, place makki roti on tawa and roast from both sides till brown marks appear. Now remove makki roti from the tawa, place a net on the stove and makki roti on the net and roast from both sides on low flame. Remove roti from the stove. Apply 1 tbsp ghee / butter on makki roti and serve with spicy dal, sarso ka saag and enjoy the winter season. Blessings from my mom. :)
