PU Extends Last date for online admission forms for PG courses to October 15, 2020.

Chandigarh September 30, 2020The Panjab University Vice Chancellor, Prof Raj Kumar has extended the last date for applying online admission forms for various Postgraduate courses available at http://onlineadmissions.puchd.ac.in in the Panjab University Teaching Departments / Institutes / Regional Centres upto 15.10.2020 (Thursday) as the result of Undergraduate courses are likely to be declared by 10 October, 2020.

Online Poem Recitation Competition by PU Gandhian Studies

The Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies in collaboration with the Panjab University Alumni Association and Social Substance organized the Online Poem Recitation Competition of the age group of 12 -21 years via Cisco WebEx online portal in celebrating Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti , today.

While welcoming the audience and other invited members of PU Alumni Association, the Chairperson of the Department Dr. Manish Sharma highlighted the requirement of poem’s that how one can express one’s feelings and respect to others and nation and how it inspires others. The participants from various places participated in the competition and most of them opted for the theme on ‘COVID-19 Situation” and some also picked up nationalism. Some of the participants were Sacvir, Anusha, Jainam P. Modi, Dikshit, Shaurya, Simaran Kaur. All participants were given 02 minutes to recite their self-composed poems. Apart from the participants, the event was also opened up for the audience who were above 21 years of age but they will not be able to get the cash prizes.

In the end, Dr Manish Sharma and Dr. Arun Bansal proposed a vote of thanks to all the participants and other invited members of PU Alumni Association for attending and participating in the event and the results of this event will be declared on 2nd October, 2020 .

PU German Deptt Student Gets Prize in Online Competition

Abhinandan Nandrajog, student of Certificate Course in German 2019-20,the Department of German, Panjab University, Chandigarh got prize-winning contribution to the online competition on the topic "Diversität", organized by the Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhawan, New Delhi recently.

Arijit Dakshi, Chairperson congratulated the student on this achievement.

This is for the information of the candidates in particular and public in general that due to COVID-19 Pandemic situation, the Panjab University has scrapped all the entrance tests i.e. PU-CET (P.G.); M.Phil./ Ph.D.; PULEET; PUMEET and MBA (Executive).

Mandatory: All the registered candidates for PU-CET (P.G.) have to fill the Admission Form by 15th October 2020 for consideration in the Admission process.

The candidates are requested to keep on visiting the concerned websites for more information and further schedule.
