Governor and CM felicitate people on Janamashtami

Governor Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur have felicitated the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Janamashtami.

Extending the best wishes on the occasion, Bandaru Dattatraya said the people should follow the path of virtue shown by Lord Krishna and strengthen the society and nation by contributing to the well-being of our people.

Jai Ram Thakur while extending his warm greetings to the people of the state said that Janamashtami was a sacred occasion for the people of the country, celebrated with great fervour throughout the country. He said that the teachings and philosophy of Lord Krishna were more relevant in the present context and we all should follow them to lead a successful life.


H.P. Cabinet Decisions
The State Cabinet in its meeting held here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur gave its approval to appoint 2322 workers in Jal Shakti Vibhag which include 718 Para Pump Operators, 162 Para Fitters and 1442 Multipurpose Workers under the Departmental Para Workers Policy to manage 486 drinking water and 31 irrigation schemes of the Department.

The Cabinet decided to open new Division of Public Works Department at Jhandutta in Bilaspur district alongwith shifting three Sub Divisions of Public Works Department at Barathin, Jhandutta and Kalol of Ghumarwin Division under its control besides creating requisite posts for its smooth functioning.

In order to ensure smooth operationalization of National Ambulance Services-108 in the State, it decided to make payment over and above the provisions of concession agreements as a special interim measure and stop gap arrangement to employees of GVK-EMRI by enhancing the take home salary of its employees.

The Cabinet approved amendment in Section 3 of Himachal Pradesh War Awards Act, 1972 for enhancing the grant of War Jagirs from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 7000 annually for all the eligible persons.

It also gave approval to constitute Nagar Panchayat Shahpur in Kangra district alongwith creation of seven posts of different categories to manage this Nagar Panchayat.

The Cabinet also gave its consent to upgrade Nagar Panchayat Sarkaghat in Mandi district to Municipal Council for better planning of town.

The Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown thereafter has resulted in cumulative losses of about Rs. 15.77 crore to floriculturists of the State during the month of March to May, 2020 due to non-transportation of flowers. Now, in order to provide succour to floriculturists, the Cabinet approved the guidelines for providing financial assistance/relief amount worth Rs. four crore to the affected floriculturists.

It gave its ex-post facto relaxation in condition number 2.14 Clause 3 of Chapter II of Toll Policy 2020-21 for allowing all those persons to participate in the auction-cum tender process of allotment of Toll leases who have cleared their pending dues of Toll lease for the year 2019-20 only.

It gave also its approval to fill up one post of Lecturer (English) in Government Polytechnic College, Sundernagar in Mandi district and one post of Lecturer (Modern Office Practice) in Government Polytechnic College, Rohru in Shimla district on contract basis.


Himachal Pradesh rank third for consultation on e-Sanjeevani portal

A Spokesperson of the State Government informed here today that Himachal Pradesh has been ranked third across India for registering highest number of consultations on e-Sanjeevani portal.

The spokesperson said that Himachal Pradesh has facilitated 24,527 consultations through the e-Sanjeevani and e-Sanjeevani OPD portals. This is the third highest in the country after Tamil Nadu with 32,035 consultations and Andhra Pradesh with 28,960 consultations.

The State of Himachal Pradesh had responded swiftly and put in place tele-medicine services in March, 2020 in larger public interest. E-Sanjeevani portal started on 31st March 2020 in the State. This portal is meant to connect the most peripheral health institutions i.e. Health Sub Centres and Primary Health Centres with specialists and super-specialists in the Medical Colleges of the State.

The government has notified 1022 facilities comprising of 504 Health Sub-Centres (HSCs) and 518 Primary Health Centres (PHCs) to be upgraded as Health and Wellness Centres for providing Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) which is the key determinant in achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) under Aayushman Bharat.

For providing tele-consultation services, the Health & Wellness Centres were equipped with 867 desktops along with speakers and webcams to provide tele-consultation and another 199 desktops are in the process of being supplied. As of now, there are 303 active Health Sub-Centres which are connected with PHC Ner Chowk Mandi College who are availing the service of tele-consultation. Presently there are 446 PHCs of the State are working both as hub for Community Health Officers.

The State has established three specialist hubs at IGMC Shimla, Dr. RPGMC Tanda and SLBSGMC, Mandi. Specialists and super-specialists in the fields of Medicine, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Dermatology, Neurology, Paediatrics, Gastroenterology and Psychiatry have been placed in these hubs. Till date, 112 doctors from different specialities have been registered in these three hubs.

The specialist and the PHC hubs are providing tele-consultation services on all working days from 9.30 AM to 4.00 PM. The tele-consultation happens in the form of a tele-conference in which the patient is also seated beside the health provider while seeking tele-consultation.

Over and above, the state has also on boarded an e-Sanjeevni OPD portal which is specifically developed to provide tele-consultation services to the community directly. Using this portal any person of the state can seek tele-consultation services from the comfort of their home from doctors specially placed in the three hubs for providing the services. Now this application is also available on a smart phone making it more accessible for the community.

Till date, 26006 consultations have been made on e-Sanjeevni portal and 687 on e-Sanjeevani OPD portal.


Muskan Jindal calls on CM

22 year old Muskan Jindal securing 87th rank in examinations conducted by Union Public Service Commission for All India Civil Services-2019 called on Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here today.

Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of Muskan Jindal for cracking this examination in her maiden attempt. He wished Muskan a very bright future and all success in her career.

While sharing her secret of success, Muskan Jindal said that she devoted about 7-8 hours daily on her studies.

Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal, MLA Doon Paramjit Pammi, parents of Muskan were also present on the occasion among others.


H.P. Stone Crusher Owners Welfare Association contributes Rs. 11 lakh towards CMRF

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was presented a cheque of Rs. 11 lakh by President H.P. Stone Crusher Owners Welfare Association Ajay Rana on behalf of Association towards Chief Minister Relief Fund here today.

Chief Minister thanked the contributors for their noble gesture.
