Chandigarh,20.11.17-World Punjabi Conference (Regd) and Punjab Arts Council are jointly organising 2 day 'World Punjabi Conference' on 5-6 January 2018 at Chandigarh. The main theme of the conference will be "Punjabiyat: Past and Presnt". There will be six working sessions and one velidictory session of the Conference, which will be inaugurated by Captain Amrinder Singh, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Punjab, on 5th January 2018 at 10.00 a.m. at the Law Auditorium, Punjab University, Chandigarh. Conference will deliberate on Punjabi Language, literature, culture, its economy, youth power peasantary, migration etc.

This was jointly announced by Harvinder Singh Hanspal, M.P. Chairman, World Punjabi Conference (Regd.) and Dr. Surjit Patar, Chairman, Punjab Arts Council at a Press Conference at Chandigarh.

Sh. Hanspal told that World Punjabi Conference (Regd.) had already successfully organised five World Punjabi Conferences at Bangkok, USA, Canada, England and India. It was laso told that this will be a non-political endeavour in which about 1000 delegates from India as well as abroad will participate. A trong delegation from Pakistan under the leadership of Fakhar Zaman will also attend the conference.

Dr. Deepak Manmohan Singh, Dr. Rawail Singh, Sh. Gurbhej Singh Goraya and ravi Ravinder were also present on behalf of World Punjabi Conference (Regd.) . Dr. Lakhvinder Singh Johal, Dr. Sarabjit Kaur, Sh. Diwan Manna and Sh. Kewal Dhaliwal represented Punjab Arts Council.
