Chandigarh, January 23, 2022: The great sacrifice of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose for the independence of the country will be remembered forever. This was stated by Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya in Hyderabad on Sunday on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary after garlanding the statue of Netaji at a program organized by Jan Urja Manch.

Describing Netaji as a great revolutionary, true patriot and nationalist, Shri Dattatraya said that Subhash Chandra Bose was a great speaker and journalist, who started Azad Hind Radio outside the country in Berlin and started broadcasting in a dozen of native and foreign languages. With these programs, the flames of independence were ignited in the hearts and minds of Indians living in the country and abroad.

Shri Dattatraya said that his slogan "You give me blood, I will give you freedom" had created enthusiasm in the mind of every Indian. This slogan is relevant even today for the unity, integrity and empowerment of the country. Taking inspiration from Netaji's great sacrifice, the younger generation will have to work for national unity and for building a new India.

He said that the country has proudly remembered Netaji on his 125th birth anniversary in the form of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. This will further strengthen the feeling of patriotism in the mind of every Indian.

He said that Netaji is a symbol of India's strength, inspiration, indomitable courage and strong spirit to serve the nation selflessly. For him, poverty, illiteracy, disease were the biggest problems of the country. He had said that we can overcome these problems only by making India self-reliant.

Today, let us take a pledge to work to make the nation prosperous, advanced, united and self-reliant. This will be a true tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
