Chandigarh, October 8: Project Director, Chief Minister's Good Governance Associate Programme and Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal directed all the Deputy Commissioners to re-focus on the "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" campaign and take strict action against anti-social elements involved in gender determination.

Dr. Agrawal said this during the review meeting of various schemes including Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, e-Office, Saral, Parivar Pehchan Patra, Saksham Haryana Samarth Haryana, Meri Fasal Mera Byora with Deputy Commissioners and CMGGA held through video conference.

While the Additional Principal Secretary on one hand encouraged the Deputy Commissioners for doing good work, on the other he also took cognizance of some of the districts and directed the Deputy Commissioners of those districts to improve their working.

He said that Haryana had taken forward the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign launched by Prime Minister, Sh. NarenDr.a Modi from Panipat in the year 2015 and yielded positive results.

Dr. Amit Agrawal directed the officers to once again continuously monitor this campaign.

Appreciating the use of IT in various schemes being run by the Haryana government, Dr. Amit Agrawal said that for this Haryana has become a role model for many such schemes, which have been followed by the Central Government and other states.

Emphasizing moving files through e-office, he said that by December 25, at least 10 files should be moved online in each department of the district. If there is a shortage of necessary equipment like computers etc. in any office, then the Deputy Commissioner should ensure availability of the same on stipulated time, directed Dr. Agrawal.

The Additional Principal Secretary while reviewing the work being done regarding Parivar Pehchan Patra in all the districts and said that this is an ambitious programme of the state government, so special emphasis should be given to ensuring its implementation. He appreciated the excellent work done by the Jind district regarding PPP and exhorted other Deputy Commissioners to follow it.

Giving information about the services being provided to the people of the state through Saral Seva Kendra, Dr. Amit Agrawal said that about 550 services are being provided through this. He directed the officers concerned to ensure disposal of complaints coming to the service centre through e-ticketing.

Dr. Agrawal stressed giving maximum publicity to the Citizen Helpline number at Saral Kendras as it has changed to 0172-3968400 so that citizens can take maximum advantage of it.

While directing to monitor Saksham Haryana and Samarth Haryana Abhiyan regularly under National Education Policy, Dr. Agrawal said that children from poor families come to study in government schools, in such a situation it becomes the moral responsibility of the state government that they should get education as per national norms.

He also told the officials that in November, the examination which will be taken by the Government of India related to the evaluation of schools should be practised by taking mock tests so that Haryana can get a high ranking at the National level.

While directing officers concerned to encourage farmers to get themselves registered more and more on the "Meri Fasal Mera Byora" portal, he said that this is a portal through which farmers are being given benefits of crop purchase, compensation and other facilities.

Dr. Agrawal said that till now an amount of Rs. 29000 crore has been sent directly to the farmers' accounts by the state government through this portal. Haryana is the only state where crops are being procured properly under this portal, he added.

Dr. Amit Agrawal directed all the Deputy Commissioners to focus more on schemes related to social values like education, health, general civic services apart from routine work. While this will not only ensure that benefits reach the last person in line but will also give a sense of self-satisfaction to the officers too.
