Chandigarh, 05.11.25-: Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla met members of the Harmony Homes Residents Welfare Association, Sector 35, and held an in-depth discussion on issues related to local civic development.
Association President Anita Joshi informed that during the meeting, the Mayor listened attentively to the residents’ concerns and assured them of prompt resolution. The major demands included repair of damaged roads, regular sanitation services, improvement of the sewerage system, and restoration of non-functional streetlights in the area.
.Members of the RWA stated that it was unfortunate that Ward No. 23 Councillor Premlata had allegedly obstructed welfare activities and politicized the matter for personal or political gain. The members emphasized that public welfare and civic development should be placed above political differences. They asserted that development is the right of all residents, regardless of party affiliation, and only through collective cooperation can the dream of a clean, green, and developed Chandigarh be realized.
