One arrested in Theft
A Case FIR No. 114 u/s 305, 317(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station 03 on the complaint of Palwinder Singh S/o Jagdesh Singh, R/o Ward No. 5, Panjlasa Chowk, near Vishwakarma Mandir, Naraingarh, Ambala, Haryana, aged 51 years, against Saurav Rajput R/o #1217, Burail, Sec-45, Chandigarh, aged 20 years. The accused allegedly stole electric wire from #751, Sec-8B, Chandigarh, on 02-10-2026. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 104 u/s 305, 331(4) BNS has been registered at Police Station IT Park on the complaint of Ashwani Kumar S/o Om Parkash, R/o #3107, Housing Board Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, against an unknown person. The accused allegedly stole one water pump and 400 metres of copper wire from the complainant's farm house at Village Kishangarh on 01-10-2026.
One arrested under Arms Act
A Case FIR No. 156 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station 34 against Abnish Kumar , R/o Village Madhavpura Diharva, District Samastipur, Bihar, aged 23 years. The accused was apprehended from near Sec-46/CD Turn on 01-10-2026 at about 10:40 PM, and one Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.
Six arrested consuming liquor at public place
A Case FIR No. 177 u/s 68(1)(b) PP Act & 355 BNS has been registered at Police Station 36 against Animesh, R/o #1082, Sec-66B, Mohali, Punjab, aged 34 years; Rafik R/o #72, Nandiali, Mohali, Punjab, aged 42 years; Tejinder SinghR/o Village Churhedi, SAS Nagar, Mohali, aged 24 years; Daulat Parshad R/o SCO No. 141-142-143, Sec-43/B, Chandigarh, aged 34 years; Karthik R/o #197, PH-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh, aged 30 years; and Shashi R/o SCO No. 141-142-143, Sec-43/B, Chandigarh. They were arrested from near Tulip Hotel Sec-43 Chandigarh while drinking and creating nuisance at public place. Later on, they were bailed out.
Two arrested under NDPS ACT
A Case FIR No. 132 u/s 27 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Maloya against Manpreet Singh R/o Room No. 3, Village Maloya, Chandigarh, aged 35 years, and Sarabjit Singh, R/o Gali No. 12, Jujhar Nagar, District Mohali, Punjab, aged 28 years. Both accused were apprehended from near RC-1 School, Maloya, Chandigarh, on 02-10-2026 while allegedly smoking drugs using foil paper. A ₹20 currency note and lighter were also recovered from their possession. Both accused were arrested and later bailed out.
Cyber Cheating
A Case FIR No. 166 u/s 318(4), 319(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Cyber Crime on the complaint of Kirpal Singh S/o Gopal Singh, R/o #40, Village Palsora, Sec-55, Chandigarh, against an unknown person. The accused allegedly cheated the complainant of ₹1,25,899/- by inducing him to download a malicious APK file.
