CHANDIGARH, 10.09.26-The Department of Computer Science and Applications at DAV College, Chandigarh, inaugurated a new state-of-the-art computer lab today. The facility has been designed to strengthen teaching and learning by providing students with modern hardware and software essential for industry-relevant skill development and concept building.
All computing facilities across the college have been meticulously upgraded to meet standards followed by leading institutions nationwide. The labs now feature high-performance infrastructure, robust computing power, MS Office Suites, Integrated Development Environments, and advanced text editors to support programming and application development.
Speaking at the inauguration, Officiating Principal Dr. Mona Narang praised the Computer Science department for delivering a modern, multimedia-integrated facility that will accelerate creativity, critical thinking, practical-oriented learning, and collaborations. She urged students to make effective use of the new resources, to think innovatively when solving practical problems, and to translate theoretical learning into real-world applications.
The office bearers of the department’s official technical clubs, TechnoMinds and ByteBrigade, were honoured as Dr. Narang presented them with badges. Around 100 students from the department attended the event
