MC Commissioner inspects Raipur Gaushala, Directs strict focus on animal care & cleanliness

Chandigarh, August 14:- The Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, today conducted a surprise inspection of the Raipur Gaushala and the animal incinerator plant located there.

During the morning inspection, the Commissioner called the staff deployed at the Gaushala and reviewed arrangements for animal care, health, hygiene and other facilities available within the premises.

He directed the officials responsible for the upkeep of the Gaushala to ensure proper cleanliness and hygienic conditions at all times. He also instructed them to immediately bring any requirement or deficiency to the notice of their senior officers for timely action.

The Commissioner subsequently inspected the animal incinerator plant and checked the entry register and other records. During the inspection, the computer system being used by the concerned officials responsible for maintaining records was found non-functional. The Commissioner issued an explanation to the concerned officials and directed that proper record-keeping and functioning of the system be ensured.
