CHANDIGARH, 05.02.26-In keeping with the transformative vision of NEP 2020, St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School organised a Capacity Building Workshop on the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF–SE) 2023, designed to enable educators to engage deeply with the philosophy, intent, and lived realities of the renewed curriculum framework.
The workshop was led by two eminent and highly respected resource persons—Dr. Pushpalata Jha Ma’am, Principal and Founder Principal of G World School, Mohali, a seasoned CBSE Resource Person and academic visionary, and Ms. Sagrika Bakshi Ma’am, an accomplished educationist, senior CBSE Resource Person, and institutional leader with over two decades of experience in curriculum leadership and teacher development. Drawing upon their rich professional journeys, the resource persons skilfully translated policy into practice through reflective dialogue, experiential learning, and intellectually stimulating engagements.
A notable highlight of the workshop was the application of the 4R framework—Review, Reflect, Respond, and Rate—which offered teachers a structured and introspective lens to evaluate their instructional practices and curriculum planning. This reflective model empowered participants to move from awareness to action, ensuring that curriculum intent finds authentic expression in daily teaching-learning experiences.
The revered Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla, shared that such capacity building initiatives are essential in cultivating reflective practitioners who can thoughtfully interpret and implement curriculum reforms. She expressed that the National Curriculum Framework serves as a guiding compass for aligning classroom practices with national educational aspirations, reaffirming the school’s steadfast commitment to holistic education and continuous professional growth.
The workshop emerged as a meaningful milestone in St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School’s ongoing endeavour to nurture reflective educators and sustain academic excellence.
