CHANDIGARH, 24.01.26-An invited lecture under the PM-USHA scheme was organized by the Department of Zoology of Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Sector-32 C, Chandigarh on 24th January, 2026 on the topic “Understanding Animal Cell Culture: From Basic Research to Clinical Applications”.
The lecture was delivered by *Dr. Ravinder Kumar*, Chairperson, Department of Zoology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The session aimed to provide students with in-depth knowledge about the fundamental concepts of animal cell culture and its growing significance in modern biological research and medical science. Dr. Kumar explained the techniques involved in culturing animal cells, their applications in drug development, disease diagnosis, and therapeutic treatments, and highlighted the role of cell culture in clinical advancements.
The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal of the college.
