CHANDIGARH, 16.12.25-Department of Transfusion Medicine PGIMER and Thalassaemic Charitable Trust (TCT) organized its 323rd Blood Donation Camp on 14th Dec. 2025 in coordination with Rehmat Foundation, to commemorate the Shaheedi Jodmel at Gurudwara Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib, Sector 34, Chandigarh. The Camp was dedicated to thalassaemia patients and other serious patients requiring blood support. TCT made elaborate arrangements for the blood donors and set up a desk dedicated to thalassaemia awareness.

Smt. Harpreet Kaur Babla, Mayor, Municipal Corporation and many other reputed dignitaries of Chandigarh visited this camp and blessed the blood donors. They distributed gifts and badges to the blood donors. Hon’ble 82 voluntary blood donors donated blood in this camp.

The camp successfully ended under the guidance of Prof(Dr.) Ratti Ram Sharma-HOD and under the supervision of Dr. Puneet Kaur; Deptt. of Transfusion Medicine PGI and their respective team.

Prof(Dr.) Ratti Ram Sharma-HOD, Deptt. of Transfusion Medicine PGI and Sh. Rajinder Kalra, Member Secretary of the Trust emphasised the need for voluntary blood donation to save thalassaemic patients who need regular blood transfusions after 15-20 days and precious lives needing blood support. They thanked all blood donors, the team of Department of Transfusion Medicine and team of TCT PGIMER Chandigarh for this camp.
