The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, marked a significant milestone on Thursday 11 December, 2025 with the foundation stone laying ceremony for six state-of-the-art infrastructure projects.
The ceremony was conducted by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar and First Lady of the University Prof. Sunita Srivastava. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor performed the rituals in the presence of of the Chairman and Managing Director of NBCC (India), Mr. KP Mahadeva Swamy. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Registrar Prof. Suneel Kumar, and NBCC’s Chief General Manager Mr. Rajeev Kumar also contributed to the commencement of this major construction initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar stated that these projects will play a pivotal role in strengthening the University’s academic ecosystem and enhancing the effectiveness of teaching and research activities.
Registrar Prof. Suneel Kumar informed that an estimated cost of INR 196.98 crore has been earmarked for these six major projects. Encompassing 41,339 square meters of built-up area, the new infrastructure will include the School of Engineering and Technology Block, 16 Lecture Halls, a Central Instrumentation Centre, two Girls’ Hostels, a Multipurpose Hall, and a University Computer Centre.
On the occasion of the Bhoomi Pujan, University Provost (Boys) Prof. Rajendra Prasad Meena, University Provost (Girls) Prof. Mona Sharma, Dean of Student Welfare Prof. Renu Yadav, University Librarian Dr. Santosh CH, Prof. Surender Singh, Prof. Dinesh Chahal, Proctor Prof. Nand Kishore, Prof. Ranjan Aneja, Prof. Ranbir Singh, Prof. Vikas Garg, Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Dr. Vikas Siwach, Dr. Sumit Kumar, Dr. Amita, Dr. Jitender Kumar, along with Mr. S. K. Kaul from the Infrastructure Department, Dr. Ranbir Singh, Mr. Gaurav Sharma, Mr. Mukesh Kumar, Mr. Mahesh Bhardwaj, Mr. Ramandeep, and teachers, officers, and staff from various departments were present.
