CHANDIGARH,15.11.2025-The Department of Anatomy, PGIMER, Chandigarh expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the families who generously donated the bodies of their loved ones, enabling medical education and research that ultimately benefits society at large.
1. Donation by Family of Mrs. Kalawati (103 years), Kalka, Panchkula
The Department received the body of Mrs. Kalawati , wife of Late Sh. Inder Muni Sharma, aged 103 years, resident of Kalka, Panchkula, on 13 November 2025. The body was graciously donated by her sons Mr Ramesh Chander Sharma, Dr Dinesh Kumar Sharma, Mr Ghanshyam Sharma, and daughter Mrs Savitri Devi. PGIMER deeply appreciates this noble act by the family.
2. Donation by Family of Mrs. Amrit Kaur (70 years), Ludhiana
The Department also received the body of Mrs Amrit Kaur, wife of Mr Rupinder Singh, aged 70 years, resident of Chak Sarwan Nath, Ludhiana , who passed away on 11 November 2025. Her husband Mr Rupinder Singh and son Mr Bhartinder Singh generously donated her body on 12 November 2025. PGIMER sincerely admires this selfless gesture.
3. Donation by Family of Mr. Sohan Singh (92 years), Chandigarh
The body of Mr Sohan Singh, aged 92 years, resident of Sector 27-D, Chandigarh, was received on 8 November 2025. The donation was made by his sons Mr Amrik Singh, Mr Tejwant Singh, Mr Matvinder Singh, and other family members. The Department acknowledges their compassionate contribution with gratitude.
PGIMER salutes all donor families for their exemplary service to humanity and urges citizens to come forward in the spirit of “देहदान – महादान – ज़रूर करें”.
