Chandigarh, November 15 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, while addressing a program organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dada Badhdev Poonia, announced that the existing school in Kharak Punia village will be upgraded to a Sanskriti Model School, ensuring high-quality education for children within the village. In addition, the Chief Minister announced the construction of a community center and the establishment of a library in Kharak Punia village.
The Chief Minister was addressing a well attended program organized by the All Haryana Sarva Jati Poonia Samaj in Kharak Punia village of Hisar district today to mark the birth anniversary of Dada Badhdev Ji Poonia.
He said that the State Government will give due consideration and take forward any development resolution submitted by the Panchayat in the name of Dada Badhdev Ji.
Paying homage to Dada Badhdev Ji, the Chief Minister said that his life teaches that when society is organized and disciplined, every challenge becomes easier to overcome. He inspired society to adopt truth, discipline and brotherhood as fundamental principles of life. Dada Badhdev Ji also assured that a Khap, which stands for the welfare of society, never weakens. The Chief Minister added that the Poonia Khap has always placed the nation, society, and public interest above all else.
The Chief Ministert said that the state government continues to follow the path shown by Dada Badhdev Ji. He urged the Poonia Khap to guide the younger generation in the right direction, ensuring that youth stay away from drugs and future generations grow empowered and capable. He also appealed to everyone to make sustained efforts to advance youth in the fields of education, sports, and technology.
Referring to the program organized yesterday at Badhkhalsa in Sonipat to mark the martyrdom day of Dada Kushal Singh Dahiya, the Chief Minister said that Dada Kushal Singh Dahiya, along with Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, made the supreme sacrifice for the protection of religion. He added that the State Government is committed to disseminating the history, teachings, and sacrifices of the Gurus and Saints to the public. The Chief Minister informed that the 350th martyrdom year of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is being celebrated in a grand manner by the state government, and that Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi will visit Haryana on November 25 to attend the program organized in this regard.
*State government is rapidly advancing welfare schemes under PM guidance*
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini stated that under the able guidance of Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi, the current government is rapidly advancing welfare schemes. He added that, along with the establishment of new projects across the state, an extensive road network has been developed over the past 11 years. The Chief Minister said that youth in the state are being provided employment purely on merit, without any kharhi-parchi. Additionally, he informed that the process of establishing 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) is underway, and that land for two-three IMTs will soon be made available, with work progressing rapidly in this direction.
*Setting an example by fulfilling 50 sankalps in the first year*
The Chief Minister said that the current government has set an example by fulfilling 50 of the 217 sankalps made during the elections within the first year itself. He highlighted that Haryana is the first state in the country where all 24 crops are being procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP). He also informed that land ownership rights have been granted to leaseholders prior to the formation of Haryana, and a provision has also been made to grant ownership rights to families residing on Panchayat and Municipal land for over 20 years. The Chief Minister further stated that the abolition of the tax (Abiana) imposed since the British era has provided significant relief to farmers.
He added that the Deendayal Laado Laxmi Yojana has been launched, under which eligible women are being provided monthly financial assistance of Rs. 2,100 since November. Additionally, under the Har Ghar-Har Grihini Yojana, women from approximately 19 lakh poor families are being provided gas cylinders at just Rs. 500 per month.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also shared information about other welfare schemes being implemented by the state government.

*CM stops in Kaithal to encourage ‘Run for Unity’ participants*
Chandigarh, November 15 - Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, on Saturday morning, stopped his convoy during the Run for Unity, organized from NIILM University to Kaithal, to encourage the participants.
The Chief Minister was en route to a felicitation ceremony organized by the Poonia Khap in Kharak village, Hisar. Upon noticing the Run for Unity being held near Kiodak village to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, he stopped his convoy, stepped out, and personally inquired about the event route from former MLA Leela Ram and other organizers.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini also checked on the well-being of the participants and encouraged them to continue their efforts, appreciating their dedication to promoting unity and patriotism.

Chandigarh, Nov 15 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that Baba Sri Chand Ji Maharaj, son of Sant Shiromani Pratham Patshah Sri Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj, carried forward his father’s tradition of human welfare by embodying his principles and values. The government will organize a national-level program in Jyotisar on November 25 to commemorate the 350th martyrdom day of Hindi ki Chadar Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Ninth Guru. Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi is scheduled to participate in this event.
The Chief Minister made these remarks at a program held on Saturday at the Udasin Sri Brahm Akhara Sahib Mandi in Pehowa, Kurukshetra, marking the 531st Prakash Utsav of Baba Sri Chand Maharaj. During the event, Chief Minister paid ardas to Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He, along with former Minister of State Subhash Sudha, was honored with a siropa by Baba Gurvinder Singh Maharaj, founder of the Udasin Shri Brahm Akhara Sahib. Extending his heartfelt greetings on the occasion, the Chief Minister paid respectful obeisance to Baba Sri Chand Maharaj, a revered servant of humanity.
Chief Minister highlighted that the Udasin Sri Brahm Akhara Sahib, following the ideals of the Gurus, actively organizes blood donation camps, marriages for underprivileged girls, sports competitions, and other social initiatives. Sports competitions are being conducted here today, reflecting the continuing legacy of service and community engagement. He added that Baba Sri Chand Ji Maharaj, the eldest son of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was devoted to spirituality from a young age and dedicated his life to the welfare of humanity, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and service.
Nayab Singh Saini said that following the example of Baba Sri Chand Maharaj, Baba Gurvinder Singh Maharaj, with his dedication and enthusiasm, has inspired love, compassion, brotherhood, public service, and a strong drive for success in the lives of many individuals. To achieve this remarkable mission, he established the Udasin Sri Brahm Akhara Sahib, setting a rare standard of spirituality that is exceptional in any human being. Chief Minister said that, given our connection to the Gurus’ sacred legacy, it is our duty to embrace their teachings of harmony, tolerance, brotherhood, and mutual love in our daily lives. He emphasized that celebrating the birth anniversaries of great Gurus at the state level allows us to draw inspiration and learn valuable lessons from their exemplary lives. The Chief Minister added that the younger generation must meet modern challenges successfully while remaining rooted in our ancient and noble culture, and that the country and society greatly benefit from the constructive guidance of saints and sages in this endeavor.
He further said that there is no place for corruption, crime, or caste-based politics in the state. With the blessings of saints and spiritual leaders, the government is committed to maintaining political integrity at all costs. The Chief Minister also reaffirmed the state’s determination to become drug-free, adding that whenever support has been sought from saints and sages for drug de-addiction initiatives, it has been wholeheartedly provided.

Chandigarh, November 15 - Haryana Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh inaugurated the Saras and Crafts Mela in Kurukshetra amid the resonant sound of conch shells, marking the grand launch of the International Gita Mahotsav-2025.
The inauguration of the Saras and Crafts Mela brought immense joy to artists and craftsmen from across the country, who showcased the rich cultural heritage of their respective states. Their participation added grandeur and vibrancy to the inaugural ceremony. Alongside the Mela, Governor Prof. Ghosh also inaugurated the Festival’s media center.
In keeping with tradition, the Governor lit a ceremonial lamp on the sacred banks of Brahmasarovar to mark the launch of the Saras and Crafts Mela. He also paid his respects by offering flowers to a copy of the Bhagavad Gita before visiting the various stalls at the Mela.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Prof. Ghosh described the occasion as historic, noting the enduring relevance of Lord Shri Krishna’s teachings. Thousands of years ago, on the land of Kurukshetra, Lord Krishna imparted the knowledge of the Gita to Arjuna. That knowledge remains as significant today as it was then. The message of the Gita will continue to inspire generations. He added that the Gita Mahotsav is celebrated not only in Kurukshetra but also internationally, and the festivities officially began with the inauguration of the Saras Mela.
Highlighting the wide appeal of the event, the Governor said that people from across India and abroad will attend the International Gita Mahotsav 2025, with huge participation. Artists, craftsmen, artisans, and members of self-help groups from various states have also joined the festival. He emphasized that the fair provides both employment opportunities and a platform to experience India’s diverse culture.
“This is a historic occasion for all of us. The grand opening of the Crafts and Saras Mela will be especially meaningful for the artisans. On the sacred banks of Brahmasarovar, millions of tourists will witness the craftsmanship of artisans from across the country alongside self-help group members on a single platform. This spectacle promises to be unique and mesmerizing,” the Governor said, congratulating the Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB) and administrative officials for organizing the fair and ensuring a tradition-based start.
During the event, the Governor interacted with performers, including the Dhol-Nangada party, acrobatic artists, dancers, and the Been party. He also visited stalls to learn about the craftsmanship and initiatives of self-help groups, highly appreciating the quality of handmade products on display.
Governor Prof. Ghosh said that the International Gita Mahotsav 2025 will be held from November 15 to December 5, 2025, with the main events running from November 24 to December 1, 2025. The key attractions of the festival will include a Sant Sammelan, Deepotsav, Gita Seminar, and Global Gita Path, designed to inspire the younger generation and offer a deep engagement with India’s ancient cultural heritage.
KDB CEO Mr. Pankaj Setia expressed gratitude to the guests and said that elaborate arrangements had been made for pilgrims. Also present at the occasion were Thanesar MLA Ashok Arora, KUK Vice Chancellor Prof. Somnath Sachdeva, KDB Honorary Secretary Upendra Singhal, and other dignitaries.

*Haryana launches Drug Inventory System to modernize AYUSH department – HM*
Chandigarh, November 15 – Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao said that Drug Inventory Management System has been launched to enhance transparency and accountability in drug management within the AYUSH Department. The system will provide online access to records related to drug availability, stock status, distribution, and utilization, simplifying management and reducing errors. This initiative will elevate the quality of AYUSH services across the state.
The Health Minister highlighted that the Haryana Government is taking concrete steps to make AYUSH services more robust, transparent, systematic, and citizen-friendly. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini, the AYUSH sector is undergoing extensive reforms and modernization to ensure that high-quality, accessible, and reliable treatment is available to all.
She added that the Directorate of AYUSH, Haryana, is closely monitoring the supply of medicines to all AYUSH health institutions to maintain a smooth and systematic supply chain. The distribution system has been strengthened to prevent shortages in any institution.
Aarti Singh Rao also said that detailed guidelines have been issued to all Panchayati Raj Institutions to ensure the smooth functioning of yoga schools across the state. As a result, prescribed yoga routines are being followed daily, benefiting a large number of people. She emphasized that yoga promotes not only physical health but also mental balance and social harmony, contributing to increased health awareness in society.
The Health Minister further stated that the construction of Shri Krishna AYUSH University is progressing rapidly. The university will serve as a premier center for education, research, and training in the AYUSH system. With its modern infrastructure and advanced educational programs, it aims to establish a new benchmark for AYUSH education in Haryana and across North India.
She said that the state government’s goal is to make AYUSH services in Haryana more accessible, efficient, and effective, ultimately providing better healthcare facilities to the public.
