CHANDIGARH, 15.09.25-PGI ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION, Chandigarh organised a blood donation camp at Zakir Hall, PGIMER to commemorate Engineers Day,

Prof. Vivek Lal, Director, PGIMER Chandigarh was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the Blood donation camp. He also appreciated the charitable work of the ASSOCIATION. Prof. Vipin Kaushal ,Medical Superintendent, Prof. Ratti Ram Sharma Head; Department of Transfusion Medicine, Er. G S Bhatti, SHE blessed the blood donors.

Hon’ble 341 blood donors donated blood while 97 donors were rejected during medical examination before donation. Er. Tanuj Poshwal, President PGI ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION, Chandigarh expressed deep gratitude to Prof Vivek Lal, all delegates for sparing their precious time to visit this camp and Prof Ratti Ram Sharma & his team of Department of Transfusion Medicine and all voluntary blood donors.

Er. Bindia Verma, General Secretary PGI ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION, Chandigarh also thanked Er. Sanjeev Sharma, Er. PS Gill, Er. Rajneesh Mittal, Er. Inderjit Singh, Er. Hemlata Meena, Er. Deepesh Gupta, Er. Praveen Choudhary, Er. Lalit Singh and other Executives of Association for their valuable efforts in conducting this Camp.

September 15th is celebrated as Engineer’s Day, which marks the birth anniversary of Sir M Visvesvaraya, one of the most outstanding engineers of India. He was famous civil engineer in India and his fantastic work for country’s development fetched him the BHARAT RATNA Award in 1955.
