Poster Competition Marks Nutrition Month at CUH
The Department of Nutrition Biology, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh organized a Poster Competition on the occasion of Nutrition Month as part of its ongoing series of academic and awareness activities. Reinforcing the theme “Eat Right for a Better Life”, the Department of Nutrition Biology remains committed to promoting nutrition awareness and inspiring healthier choices in everyday living.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from undergraduate, postgraduate, and research scholars of the Department of Nutrition Biology and other departments. Participants presented creative and scientifically informative posters highlighting the importance of nutrition in health, disease prevention, and sustainable lifestyles. Themes covered included balanced diets, micronutrient awareness, lifestyle-related disorders, and the role of functional foods.
The posters were evaluated on the basis of scientific content, creativity, clarity of presentation, and overall impact. Winners of the competition were awarded certificates of appreciation, while all participants received recognition for their efforts.
The Department gratefully acknowledges the guidance and support of Chief Patron Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar (Vice-Chancellor), Patron Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma (Pro–Vice Chancellor), and the Chairpersons Prof. Suneel Kumar (Registrar), Prof. Neelam Sangwan (Dean Research), Prof. Dinesh Gupta (Dean, SIAS), and Prof. Pawan Kumar Maurya (Dean, Academic), along with Co-Chairperson Dr. Umesh Kumar (Head, Department of Nutrition Biology) in the successful organization of this event.
Special appreciation is extended to the Convenors, Dr. Vidyullatha Peddireddy and Dr. Savita Budhwar (Associate Professors), Department of Nutrition Biology, for their dedicated efforts in planning and executing the competition successfully. Their commitment ensured active student engagement and the overall success of the program.
This Poster Competition is part of a series of events during Nutrition Month, which also includes Webinars, Quiz Competitions, and Expert Talks aimed at sensitizing students and the community towards better dietary practices.

ENGINEER'S DAY CELEBRATED
Engineers’ Day 2025 was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm at the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh. On this occasion, the Chief Guest was Prof. Col. Rajender Kumar Anayat (Former Vice-Chancellor of DCRUST and BPS Women’s University, presently Officer on Special Duty, Higher Education Department). The program was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tankeshwar Kumar.
The celebration began with Saraswati Vandana and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the University Anthem and a documentary presentation. A short film based on Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya deeply inspired the gathering. Among the distinguished guests were Engineer Amit Garg (Chief Executive Officer & Founder, MPC), Engineer Raman Sharma (President – Luxury Projects, Signature Global Group), Engineer Jasnir Singh (Superintending Engineer, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam), Engineer Ujjwal Gupta (Deputy General Manager – Corporate Strategy, Signature Global India Ltd.), and Mr. Abhay Sharma (Chief Business Officer, MPC).
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor said that Engineers are the true architects of national progress. It is through their innovation and hard work that society reaches new heights of development. Prof. Rajendra Kumar Anayat, in his address, said that Engineers’ Day inspires us to recognize the vital role of engineering in the progress and development of the nation. This day is dedicated to honoring engineers and motivating the youth to pursue careers in the field of engineering. He emphasized that engineers play a crucial role in the advancement and self-reliance of modern India. He urged students to contribute to solving societal problems through innovation, research, and technology. In the same spirit, all distinguished guests also highlighted the role of engineers in the nation’s development and apprised the participants of the latest advancements in the field.
Students showcased India’s rich cultural diversity through Haryanvi, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri, South Indian, Punjabi, and fusion dance performances. On the occasion of Engineers’ Day, several competitions were organized including Technical Quiz, Debate Competition, Ideathon (Innovative Ideas), Technical Collage, and Best Out of Waste. The winners were honoured with awards and certificates of appreciation. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Vikas Garg (Dean, School of Engineering and Technology), Heads of Departments, faculty members, and a large number of students.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Pinki Arora, Dr. Sumit Saini, Engr. Tarun, Engr. Sunny Tanwar, Engr. Divya, and Engr. Rakesh. The event was successfully anchored by Engineer Simran. Finally, Dr. Sushil Panwar delivered the vote of thanks.
