MAHENDERGARH, 12.08.25-The University Grant Commission declared 12th August as Anti-Ragging day and conveyed to all universities to organize week-long event from 12-18th August, 2025 as anti-ragging week. In this regard, various events are being planned at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh which includes rally, orientation programmes, plays, poster & slogan writing competitions and lectures.
He also put light on the fact that University is a home away from home for all the residing students and hence he expects the integrity within the university premises. The rally was initiated at Academic Block-1 and covered other the academic blocks with an aim of sending a message of anti-ragging to each, and every student.
The rally was followed by placards and slogans, wherein students raised slogans to show the impact of ragging on one’s life and also demonstrated consequences of ragging. Students from various departments prepared posters and raised slogans about ant-ragging campaign.
The Convenor of the programme Prof. Pawan Kumar Maurya thanked Vice-Chancellor for sparing their valuable time and addressing the audience. The convenor also thanked Prof. Pawan Mumar Sharma, Pro- Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Suneel Kumar, Registrar; Prof. Neelam Sangwan, Dean Research, Prof. Nand Kishore, Proctor, all the deans, heads of the departments, faculty members and students. The Anti-ragging committee members Dr. Neeraj Karan Singh, Dr. Siddharth Rai, Dr. Anita Kumari, and Dr. Sumit and Dr. Amita played a pivotal role in organization of this programme and also counselled the newly as well as old students about CUH campus is an anti-ragging place and wished to continue the same in future also.
