Chandigarh 9, 2025-The National Education Policy Cell of Panjab University, Chandigarh organised a One-Day Workshop on “Designing Effective Proposals for MOOC Development”.

The workshop began with a welcome address by Prof. Anil Monga, who greeted the participants and emphasized the importance of developing innovative and accessible online courses in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy.

The resource person for the workshop, Dr. Tejinderpal Singh, Professor at University Business School, Panjab University, shared detailed insights into the process of designing effective MOOCs. During his address, Dr. Singh noted that Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are a vital tool in today’s educational landscape, offering flexible, inclusive, and scalable learning opportunities to students, professionals, and lifelong learners across the globe. He guided participants through each stage of proposal preparation and discussed strategies to make MOOCs more engaging and impactful. He also highlighted the significance of a well-crafted course introduction video for proposal submission.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Veenu Mangat, who acknowledged the contribution of the resource person, participants, and organizing team in making the workshop a success.

The workshop witnessed active participation from faculty members of Panjab University Chandigarh and its affiliated colleges.
