Chandigarh, 07.08.25- : The Department of Financial Services, Government of India, has launched a three-month Financial Inclusion Saturation Campaign. As part of this initiative, the State Bank of India (SBI) has launched the Jan Samriddhi Abhiyan in various regions of Chandigarh. The objective of the campaign is to open PMJDY (Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana) accounts, enroll individuals under APY (Atal Pension Yojana), PMJJBY (Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana), and PMSBY (Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana), conduct re-KYC of all savings accounts where KYC is pending, organize awareness sessions on digital fraud prevention, and spread awareness about unclaimed deposits.

Today, under this campaign, SBI Sarangpur Branch organized a financial inclusion camp at Village Sarangpur, Chandigarh. The camp was attended by Subhashini Rai, Regional Manager, RBO-4 Chandigarh, Deepak Bhat, Chief Manager, RBO-4, Satinder Pal Singh Sidhu, Councillor, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, and Lakhmir Singh, Nambardar.

More than 80 villagers were present at the camp. SBI created public awareness in the local language regarding the campaign. The villagers actively participated in the event. Bank officials addressed all queries of the villagers and provided them with the necessary information.
