Action against Excise Act

A case FIR No. 56 u/s 68-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station-03. Satbir Singh, aged 43 years, r/o Sector-56, Chandigarh, who works as a manager at Cowboy Club, SCO No. 56-57, Basement, Sector-9, Chandigarh, was found serving liquor without any valid permit or license during a checking conducted on 25-06-2025 at around 11:50 PM. The accused was arrested and later released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

COPTA Act

A case FIR No. 57 u/s 4(A), 21(A), 27(A) COTPA has been registered at Police Station-03. Latesh Thakur r/o Dhanas, Chandigarh, working as the manager of Cosmos Club, SCO No. 54-55, Basement, Sector-9, Chandigarh, was found serving hookah at the said premises without a valid license during a raid conducted on 25-06-2025 at around 11:45 PM. The accused person, Kuldeep Singh, was arrested and later released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A case FIR No. 58 u/s 303(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station-03 on the complaint of Bhuvan Goel r/o Plot No. 35, Industrial Area, Phase-1, Chandigarh. The complainant reported that an unknown person stole his bicycle from the cycle stand at Sukhna Lake between 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM on 26-06-2025. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 100 u/s 316(2), 318(4), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS & 24 Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station-17 on the complaint of lady resident of Sector-119, Balongi, District Mohali, Punjab, and others. The complainants alleged that Sunil Kumar s r/o #30, Niana Belt, District Nawanshahr (Punjab), along with Kuldeep Singh Vohra (Manager), Abhay (HOD), and others of Setup World Travel, Cabin No. 406, SCO No. 77-78, 4th Floor, Sector-17/D, Chandigarh, cheated them of ₹24,80,000/- under the pretext of providing visas. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Abetment to suicide

A case FIR No. 50 u/s 108 BNS has been registered at Police Station-Manimajra on the complaint of Rahul aged 34 years, r/o Mani Majra, Chandigarh. The complainant alleged that Idam Khan Gill R/o Near Killa, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, had been pressuring his father, Satish Kumar, over a loan amount of ₹12,00,000/-. Due to this mental harassment, Satish Kumar allegedly committed suicide at his house on 25-06-2025 at around 6:54 PM. He was rushed to PGI where he was declared dead. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Robbery

A case FIR No. 69 u/s 309(6) BNS has been registered at Police Station-26 on the complaint of Nitish Kadyan r/o Sector-25, Panipat (Haryana). The complainant reported that an unknown person snatched his purse, gold bangle, and mobile phone from Sector-26 on 26-06-2025. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 37 u/s 304(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station-49 on the complaint of Bimlendu Shekhar Vats r/o SBI Officer Society, Sector-49/D. The complainant alleged that two unknown persons riding a motorcycle snatched his gold chain near Advocate Society, Sector-49, Chandigarh, on 26-06-2025 at around 6:30 AM. Investigation of this case is in progress.
