Ludhiana 27 June 2025-The Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBSC) of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University organized a one-day training program on “Sensitization on Various Biosafety Practices for Conducting Institutional Research” at College of Animal Biotechnology. The session aimed to educate postgraduate students about biosafety ethics, laboratory protocols, and safe handling of risk group organisms.
Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor lauded the efforts of the organizing team for their initiative and successful execution of the event. He highlighted the importance of such programs in strengthening University’s commitment to advancing scientific research while maintaining the highest standards of safety, responsibility, and ethical conduct.
Dr. R.S. Sethi, Dean, College of Animal Biotechnology, emphasized the fundamental responsibilities of researchers in maintaining a safe and hazard-free laboratory environment. He also briefed the participants about the state-of-the-art instrumentation facilities available at the Institute, which are accessible to students and researchers from different departments.
