Indore, March 9, 2024: Men organized and ghosted solar Lunch at Jimmy McGilligan Centre for Sustainable Development in village Sanawadiya celebrated . International Women's Day in a unique way. This year, many men specially learnt solar cooking and cooked a solar lunch for the women.

The event was attended by 30 participants, including Dr. Janak Palta McGilligan, Mr. Sameer Sharma, Varun Raheja, Jaishree and Kirti Sikka, Jyoti and Rajendra Ochani, Rajendra Singh, Harnam Singh, Nanda and Rajendra Chauhan, Nilesh Chauhan, Gaurav Jalili, Suyash Sabu, Kuldeep, Ashish Mamta and Mahendra Dhakad, Pooja and Rohit Aggarwal, Bharti Batra, Bharat Jat, Nitya, Vinita Kothari, Dr. Shefali,Sameer welcomed all and said that he learned solar cooking to contribute to social, economic, and environmental development after learning from Janak didi she practicies inclusion of men so ..no question of Inclusion of men by women.

Quoting Baha'i writings, Dr. Janak said, "The world of humanity is like a bird with two wings - women and men. As long as both wings are not equally developed, the bird cannot fly. We must include men in all programs .As mothers and father should train both girls and boys equally for opportunities, education , decision making and access to all resources "

Mr. Rajendra Ochani said that by cooking with solar energy, we can give happiness to our wives.

The men learned to clean and chop vegetables, and the women taught them the tricks of healthy cooking.Rohit Aggarwal and Kuldeep cooked Sabudana Khichdi, Shri Kirti Sikka cooked Potato Curry, Varun Raheja cooked Fried Carrots Halwa, Rajendra Singh Ji cooked Peas Curry, Sameer Sharma and Rishi Sharma cooked Pulao, Nilesh cooked Dalia, and Rajendra Chauhan cooked Meetha Bhaat. A small boy Jivansh helped everyone and served the food.

It was a wonderful event that truly gave women a chance to relax and enjoy on Women's Day.
