MAHENDERGARH, 29.09.25-The Entrepreneurship Cell, Centre for Innovation and Incubation (CII), and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh jointly organized the Internal Hackathon 2025 on Monday. The event served as a significant step towards the Smart India Hackathon 2025 and witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 150 students representing nearly 25 teams, who showcased their creativity and problem-solving skills.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Chief Patron, CUH Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, and Patron, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma. The inaugural session was chaired by Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Chairpersion, IIC.
External experts for the event included Prof. Rohit Sharma, Coordinator, BioNEST Incubation Centre, Panjab University, and Mr. Kuldeep Bishla, Business Head, DFM Foods Ltd., who encouraged participants to refine their ideas and bring them to fruition. Prof. Sharma emphasized that such initiatives are instrumental in nurturing talent and fostering innovative thinking, while Mr. Bishla highlighted that the current era is one of rapid transformation, urging students to become active contributors to building a developed India.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar highlighted the importance of innovation, stressing that active participation and collaboration are crucial to success. He stated that when ideas are promising, funding is never a limitation. He appreciated that events like these not only inspire students to think differently but also build their risk-taking abilities, essential for entrepreneurship and nation-building.
Prof. Sunita Srivastava remarked that the event was an effort to equip students with new knowledge and skills, preparing them for future challenges. She also acknowledged the valuable presence of jury members, which added to the participants’ learning experience.
The event began with a welcome address and theme presentation by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Convener of the Entrepreneurship Cell, who also welcomed internal experts including Prof. Vikas Garg, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology; Prof. Pawan Maurya, Dean, Academics; Prof. Surender Singh, Department of Microbiology and Prof. Rupesh Deshmukh, Department of Biotechnology. The hackathon was organized under the guidance of Dr. Ajay Kumar and Dr. Muralidhar Nayak Bhukya, with active contributions from the Entrepreneurship Cell, CII, IIC. Dr. Sandeep Boora, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Dr. Vishnu Kucheria, Dr. Neelam and Engg. Tarun were played important role in this programme.
