She would always make my favourite dishes. Watching her cooking and due to her blessings, I sharpened myself to try out new and exciting recipes. With time Cooking has become a passion for me. Onion Oil recipe


200ml coconut oil

2tbsp fenugreek seed (methi dana)

1tbsp nigella seed (kalonji)

2 medium size onion (pyaj)

Method –

Add 2tbsp fenugreek seeds and 2tbsp nigella seeds in a mixture jar. Grind to make a fine powder.

Add 2 medium size roughly chopped onion in the same mixture jar and grind.

Open the jar and add 100ml coconut oil and grind in a smooth paste. Smooth paste is ready.

Add paste in a heavy bottom kadai. Add remaining coconut oil and cook on low flame till all mixture leaves the sides. Stir continuously.

Mixture is cooked properly. Switch off the flame and allow to cool completely. Sieve in a clean, dry glass bottle. Collect the leftover in a bowl. Homemade onion oil is ready.

You can use this leftover on scalp, cover the head with a shower cap and leave for 2 hours. Wash with mild shampoo.

Cover the bottle with lid and store for later use.
