Chandigarh, February 1:-In a continued effort to streamline traffic movement and ensure compliance with civic norms, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh conducted a joint enforcement drive in Manimajra, Sector 13, with special focus on the Motor Market area.
During the drive, a total of 39 illegally parked, abandoned, repaired and dumped vehicles were identified and impounded peacefully. The action was taken to address long-standing complaints regarding traffic congestion, encroachment on public spaces and obstruction to smooth vehicular movement in the busy Motor Market.
The drive was carried out in coordination with the concerned departments and remained orderly and incident-free, reflecting effective planning and cooperation from market stakeholders. All impounded vehicles were removed as per established procedures.
MC Chandigarh reiterated that such enforcement drives are part of its ongoing commitment to maintain public order, improve urban mobility and enhance ease of living for residents. The Corporation also appealed to vehicle owners and market operators to avoid illegal parking and dumping of vehicles on public land.
