👉🏻 Avinash Rai Khanna Slams ‘AAP’ Government Over Deteriorating Law and Order Situation in Punjab

👉🏻 “When even police personnel are not safe, who will guarantee the safety of the common people?”

Chandigarh, October 5-Former Punjab BJP State President and former Rajya Sabha MP Avinash Rai Khanna has strongly condemned the incidents of firing, extortion and snatching being reported from across Punjab, and raised serious questions over the law-and-order situation under the Bhagwant Mann-led ‘AAP’ government.

He said that the incident in Amritsar, in which GRP ASI Sukhchain Singh, while returning home from duty, was fired upon by three motorcycle-borne individuals, has once again raised serious questions about the safety of police personnel. The incident of firing outside the house of a businessman from Sri Goindwal Sahib after he allegedly refused to pay ₹1 crore in extortion is also a matter of grave concern. Besides this, incidents of snatching involving a woman in the Kharar area have further heightened concerns regarding the safety of the people.

Khanna said, “Criminals in Punjab have become so emboldened that even a police personnel returning home after duty is being targeted by attackers. Those demanding extortion are openly carrying out firing outside people’s homes, while incidents of snatching and violence against common citizens are taking place. This situation raises serious questions about the government’s handling of law and order.”

Khanna questioned the ‘AAP’ government as to who will ultimately take responsibility for ensuring a safe environment for the people of Punjab? He demanded that the government conduct an impartial investigation into these incidents, arrest the culprits at the earliest and ensure justice for the victims.
Khanna said, “The people of Punjab are seeking security and results from the government, not merely statements. The ‘AAP’ government will have to explain what concrete action it is taking regarding law and order and when ordinary citizens will be able to feel safe.”

👉🏻 Government Misleading Court and Betraying Employees in DA Case: Ashwani Sharma

👉🏻 BJP Supports Employees’ Rally to Be Held in Sangrur: Sharma

Chandigarh, October 5, 2026:Former Punjab BJP State President and MLA from Pathankot Ashwani Sharma said that the Punjab Government is misleading the court in the matter of Dearness Allowance (DA) and betraying lakhs of government employees. The Punjab BJP strongly condemns the state government’s conduct in this matter.

He said that the BJP stands with the employees and supports their rally to be held in Sangrur on October 10. Ashwani Sharma said that instead of giving employees their rightful dues, the Aam Aadmi Party government is deliberately entangling the matter in the courts. In fact, during Monday’s hearing in the DA case, the High Court questioned Punjab Principal Secretary K.P. Sinha, who appeared before the court, as to why he had not filed a compliance affidavit regarding the High Court’s August 3 order directing the government to release DA within 15 days. When the Punjab Government argued that it had filed an SLP in the Supreme Court in the matter, the court questioned why action was not being taken to rectify the defects in the petition. The Punjab Government had been directed during the previous hearing to rectify the defects in the SLP, but why had this not been done?

While reprimanding the Punjab Government, the court said that the High Court had summoned the entire record from the Supreme Court, which would reveal what the government had been doing in the matter. The court directed the Punjab Chief Secretary to appear again tomorrow and file a response, and also asked why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against the government.

Ashwani Sharma said that the Punjab Government had continuously been trying to mislead the court, but such tactics would no longer work. He said that the BJP stands firmly in support of the employees’ struggle and also fully supports the rally to be held in Sangrur on October 10.

👉🏻 Sunil Jakhar on CBI Probe into Alleged Corruption in AAP Government: Those Who Ravaged Punjab’s Treasury Will Have to Answer for Their Deeds

👉🏻 Says, “The Wheels of Justice Have Begun to Turn”

Chandigarh, October 5:Former State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sunil Jakhar, has commented on the decision of the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court to entrust the investigation into alleged corruption in the Punjab Government to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

In a message shared on social media, he said:

“As they say- you can run but you can’t hide. Law catches up, eventually! ”

He said, “How long could they have continued to run? The wheels of justice have begun to turn to hold accountable those who looted Punjab. The Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court has entrusted the CBI with the investigation into the alleged corruption being committed by people holding high positions in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab, allegedly under the patronage of the Chief Minister’s Office. Those who have been eating away at the state exchequer like termites will now have to answer for what they have done.”

Sunil Jakhar said that the days of the AAP leaders, whom he described as “chameleons who came to loot Punjab’s treasury and harass the people while wearing the cloak of ‘extreme honesty’,” are now numbered.
He further said that “the wheels of divine justice may turn slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine.” He added that every single penny of Punjab’s public money would have to be accounted for.
Jakhar said that those who had put up “flex boards proclaiming their honesty” and repeatedly claimed to be honest had allegedly committed such acts that, before leaving office, their own deeds of dishonesty would expose them and speak for themselves.
