One arrested in Robbery case
A Case FIR No. 83, u/s 309(6), 3(5) BNS, has been registered at Police Station Manimajra, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Dinesh S/o Ragu Pawan, R/o House No. 154, Gali No. 11, Shanti Nagar, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, against an unknown person. The complainant alleged that the accused robbed him of his ID card, documents and ₹1,000 cash at knifepoint near Shivalik Park, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, on 02.09.2026 at about 6:30 PM. During investigation, accused Amit S/o Surinder, R/o House No. 2180, PWT Mani Majra, Chandigarh, aged 25 years, was arrested and is in police custody.
Two arrested under NDPS Act
A Case FIR No. 107, u/s Section 21 NDPS Act, has been registered at Police Station Maloya, Chandigarh, on the complaint of ASI Rohan Kumar No. 1924/CHG, against Badal S/o Naresh Kumar, R/o House No. 2461/3, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh, aged 18 years, and Rahul S/o Mukesh, R/o Village Gangesar, District Sonipat (Haryana), aged 19 years. Both accused were apprehended near RC-1 School, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh, on 02.09.2026 at about 11:30 PM, and 19.95 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession. Both accused are in police custody.
Theft
A Case FIR No. 103, u/s 305(A), 331(4) BNS, has been registered at Police Station-03, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Sunil Kumar, Caretaker, House No. 133, Sector-9/B, Chandigarh, aged 55 years, against an unknown person. The complainant alleged that the accused stole away a wristwatch worth approximately ₹6,38,200/- and footwear worth approximately ₹12,595/- during the intervening night of 01/02.09.2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A Case FIR No. 104, u/s 281, 125(A) BNS, has been registered at Police Station-03, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Anju W/o Harinderpal, R/o House No. 3037, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh, aged 42 years, against an unknown person. The complainant alleged that the accused hit her son and his friend on 21.08.2026 near Press Light Point, resulting in injuries, and they were admitted to PGI. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Quarrel
A Case FIR No. 119, u/s 118(1), 190, 191(3), 191(2), 351(2) BNS, has been registered at Police Station-17, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Sarbpreet Singh S/o Hardeep Singh, R/o Sidak Enclave, near SK Public School, Faridkot Road, Talwandi Bhai, Firozpur (Punjab), against Karampal Singh Grewal, Harman Bains, Yuvraj Singh, Babar Maan, Rajvir, Balram and others. The complainant alleged that the accused attacked him with swords and sticks, causing injuries on the left side of his chest, damaged his vehicle and extended threats and abuses while he was sitting in Car No. PB-04AH-5050, on 31.08.2026 at about 9:30 PM near Outside Backpackers Restaurant, Sector-22, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
