Chandigarh, August 22:Bharatiya Janata Party state leader Kewal Singh Dhillon, in a press statement, launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party government. He said that the people of Punjab had been subjected to a massive betrayal in the name of ‘change’ and that the AAP government had ruined Punjab on every front during its tenure.
Expressing concern over the prevailing situation in the state, Dhillon said that Punjab is currently passing through a serious crisis. Drugs, mounting debt, the deteriorating law-and-order situation, mafia rule, gangsterism and financial distress have completely disrupted normal life in the state. Due to the government’s wrong policies, Punjab is falling behind economically and socially.
He further emphasised that the only solution to all of Punjab’s present problems is a BJP ‘double-engine government’. In all states where the BJP is in power, a new benchmark of development, peace and progress has been established.
Dhillon appealed to the people of Punjab that forming a BJP double-engine government is essential to restore the state’s old glory and build a vibrant and prosperous Punjab, so that the state can once again be brought back on the path of development.
