Two arrested under Arms Act
A case FIR No. 51 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of ASI Amarjit Singh (2759/CP), PP-24. He reported that Krish @ Kala S/o Naresh R/o #1000, Sector-25, Chandigarh (age 18 years 6 months) was apprehended near gas agency turn, Sector-25 on 04-04-2026 at about 3:20 PM, and two country-made pistols along with two live cartridges were recovered from his possession. The accused is in police lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 47 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of ASI Rajesh Kumar (1800/CP), PP-Burail. He reported that Ashish S/o Sunil R/o #220, Village Burail, Chandigarh (age 19 years) was apprehended from a park near tubewell, Sector-45/C on 04-04-2026 at about 9:20 PM, and one kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused is in police lock-up.
Three arrested in Robbery
A case FIR No. 58 u/s 311, 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rohit R/o Hallo Majra, Chandigarh. He reported that three unknown बाइक सवार persons robbed his mobile phone on knife point near Sector-47 light point towards Kali Bari light point on 03-04-2026 at about 9:00 PM and fled. During investigation all three accused were arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under NDPS act
A case FIR No. 46 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of ASI Gurpreet Singh (1900/CHG), PP-Burail. He reported that Saurav S/o Suresh Kumar R/o #834, 3rd Floor, Village Burail, Chandigarh (age 22 years) was apprehended from Mandi Ground, Sector-45/D on 04-04-2026 at about 5:30 PM, and 7.24 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused has been arrested and is in police lock-up.
One arrested under COTPA Act
A case FIR No. 25 u/s 4(A) COTPA Act, 2003 has been registered at Police Station Sector-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of ASI Chandarma (1886/CHG). He reported that Janardhan Prasad Pant S/o Satya Prasad Pant R/o #1630, Sector-8/B, Chandigarh (age 43 years) was found serving hookah in his club (SCO No. 156-57, Basement, Sector-9) on 04-04-2026 at about 6:30 PM. The accused was arrested and later bailed out.
Snatching
A case FIR No. 38 u/s 304(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of woman R/o Sector-27/C, Chandigarh. She reported that two unknown persons on an Activa snatched her gold chain and handbag near her residence on 04-04-2026 at about 8:30 PM and fled. Investigation of the case is in progress.
