Chandigarh, April 1:- The City Mayor Sh. Saurabh Joshi today laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of streets at Keshoram Complex in Village Burail. The project will involve the installation of 80 mm thick paver blocks to enhance the durability and usability of the area.

The ceremony was attended by the former Sr. Deputy Mayor and Area Councillor Sh. Kanwarjeet Rana, MC Chief Engineer Sh. Sanjay Arora, along with officials of the MC, Members of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal and local residents.

Addressing the gathering, the Mayor highlighted that the existing paver blocks in the market area are uneven and damaged, causing inconvenience to shopkeepers, visitors, and the general public. The reconstruction work aims to ensure smoother movement, improved accessibility, and enhanced safety for all.

As part of the project, serviceable old paver blocks will be reused wherever feasible, ensuring optimal utilization of resources. The estimated cost of the work is approximately ₹32 lakh.

Upon completion, the upgraded streets are expected to significantly improve the overall appearance of the market area and provide a more convenient and safer environment for the public.
