Chandigarh, February 12:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh’s flagship digital initiative, MC One Pass, has crossed the significant milestone of 4,000 registrations, reflecting the overwhelming response and growing trust of citizens in the Corporation’s citizen-centric reforms.
Launched with the objective of simplifying and streamlining access to multiple civic services through a single-window digital platform, MC One Pass has emerged as a convenient, transparent and time-saving solution for residents. The initiative has significantly reduced procedural delays, minimized physical visits to municipal offices, and enhanced ease of availing various permissions and services.
The steady rise in registrations within a short span underscores the success of the Corporation’s efforts toward digital governance and improved service delivery. Citizens from across the city have actively adopted the platform, appreciating its user-friendly interface and efficient processing system.
Expressing satisfaction over the achievement, MC Commissioner Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, stated that the crossing of the 4,000 mark for MC One Pass is a strong testament to the faith citizens have placed in the digital governance initiatives. Delegation from Bhadravathi visits MC Chandigarh to Study Urban Best Practices
Chandigarh, February 13:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today welcomed a delegation of elected representatives from the City Municipal Council, Bhadravathi, Shimoga District, Karnataka, who are on an official visit to the city to study and understand the progressive civic models implemented by MCC.
The visit was aimed at gaining first-hand exposure to Chandigarh’s best practices in Solid Waste Management, Water Supply Management, and Town Planning, which have positioned the city as a benchmark in urban governance and sustainable development.
During the interaction session, officers of MCC provided a comprehensive overview of key initiatives, innovative systems, and citizen-centric services adopted to enhance efficiency, transparency, and service delivery. Detailed presentations were made on scientific waste processing mechanisms, door-to-door waste collection systems, segregation at source, water treatment and distribution infrastructure, and Chandigarh’s meticulously planned urban framework.
The delegation also undertook field visits to major civic facilities, including waste processing plant and water treatment installations, to closely observe operational processes, monitoring mechanisms, and technology-driven management systems.

Road Closed
Chandigarh, February 13: The general public is hereby informed that the work of strengthening of T.T. water supply system and laying of T.T. water lines in the left-out areas to supply Tertiary Treated water in Chandigarh is currently in progress.
To facilitate the connection of the pipeline, at dividing road Sector 56/39 near Mandi Chowk on Vikas Marg. The road will remain closed from 15.02.2026 (10:00 a.m.) to 16.02.2026 (10:00 p.m.).
The general public is requested to use alternative routes during the above-mentioned period and cooperate with the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh.
