The workshop was designed to provide students with in-depth practical exposure to the evolving landscape of film-making and creative direction. It aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of visual storytelling, narrative structure and the creative decision-making process involved in film production. The sessions were conducted by the resource person, Mr. Hardev Singh, a filmmaker, graphics designer and photographer, who brought rich industry experience and practical insights to the workshop.

During the two-day programme, students were introduced to various stages of film-making, including idea generation, script conceptualisation, shot composition, camera angles, lighting, sound and post-production basics. Special emphasis was laid on innovative film-making techniques, creative direction styles and the use of photography to enhance visual impact. Mr. Singh also discussed the importance of storytelling, aesthetics and originality in contemporary cinema and digital media content.

The workshop included interactive lectures, audio-visual presentations and practical demonstrations, enabling students to understand how theoretical concepts are applied in real-life media productions. The hands-on approach encouraged learners to explore new perspectives and develop a creative mindset essential for careers in film, television and digital media.
