Nishant Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, today interacted with senior officials of the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, in a meeting held to review the preparations for the Mayor Election scheduled for 29.01.2026. The meeting was convened to personally take stock of the arrangements and to ensure that all necessary preparations are in place well before the election day.
During the interaction, the Deputy Commissioner discussed in detail the steps being taken for the smooth and orderly conduct of the election. Key aspects such as law and order, preparedness of the election venue, deployment of officials, security arrangements, and inter-departmental coordination were reviewed. The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts made so far and encouraged the officers to continue working in close coordination to ensure a seamless election process.
