Jalandhar, 19.01.26-: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Lovely Professional University (LPU) organized an insightful Masterclass titled “From Chaos to Clarity: Mastering Library Classification and Cataloguing Skills” recently at the LPU Campus. The session served as a valuable academic enrichment opportunity for aspiring learners enrolled in Distance Mode Programmes, offering both conceptual depth and practical exposure to essential Library and Information Science competencies.

The Masterclass was led by Dr. Balvant Tandel and Dr. Priya Vaidya, Assistant Professors at Lovely Professional University, who delivered comprehensive training on core library classification and cataloguing frameworks. Participants gained practical skills in understanding the principles of library organization and in applying the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), Colon Classification (CC), Classified Catalogue Code (CCC), and Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, Second Edition (AACR 2).
