SHIMLA-24 September, 2025-A high-level meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee, constituted to formulate a strategic framework for the gainful utilization of a 300 acre land in the Gheer Industrial Area, Nalagarh in district Solan was held here today under the chairmanship of Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan.
Industries Minister emphasized the state government's commitment to accelerating industrial growth and creating employment opportunities for the youth.
During the meeting, the committee conducted detailed review of various development models and the associated financial and operational modalities.
The development of the 300 acre land will have modern infrastructure, including reliable power supply, efficient water management systems, high-speed connectivity to facilitate a seamless setup for industries. The project is expected to give a significant thrust to the state's economy and generate employment.
After detailed discussion, the committee decided that final cost benefit analysis will be prepared before taking any decision on it and the same may be put up before next meeting.
Additional Chief Secretary Industries RD Nazeem presented a comprehensive overview of the viable options available for the project.
Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, Ayush Minister Yadvinder Goma, Director Industries Dr. Yunus, MD HPSIDC Richa Verma, Additional Director Industries Tilak Raj Sharma and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
