Chandigarh, 30.08.25- : On the occasion of National Sports Day, a grand sports event was organized by the CRPF, 13th Battalion, at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-44 (B), Chandigarh. Various sports competitions were held as part of the program, in which the students enthusiastically participated, showcasing their talent with zeal, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship.

Mrs. Kamal Sisodia, Commandant of the 13th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force, Chandigarh, was present as the chief guest. She encouraged the participating players and honored the winners by presenting them with awards.

Commandant Kamal Sisodia herself is an accomplished athlete. During her school and college years, she won numerous medals, including gold medals in volleyball, basketball, judo, and athletics. She has also excelled in swimming and cycling. Throughout her service, she has successfully carried out operational and administrative responsibilities in Jammu & Kashmir, the Northeastern states, and various other parts of the country. She has also worked extensively for women empowerment, youth awareness, social service, and the upliftment of underprivileged communities.

In her inspiring address, she stated, "Sports are not merely a source of entertainment but are the best means to discipline life, empower oneself, and build self-confidence. Sports develop physical capability, mental toughness, discipline, brotherhood, and team spirit among the youth. Sports should not be limited to just the fields but must reach every street and neighbourhood, only then can a healthy and strong society be built." Mrs. Kamal Sisodia also encouraged school boys and girls to consider joining the security forces through sports.

The program concluded in a joyful and motivating atmosphere, leaving all the jawans, teachers, and students present deeply moved by the importance of sports and its practical life lessons.
