Chandigarh-Dated 06.09.2025-The Oncology Day Care Center at Command Hospital, Chandimandir was inaugurated on 6^th September 2025 by Lt. Gen M.K Katiyar, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, GOC-in-C Western Command in the presence of Sh. Krishan Sharma, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Chandigarh Circle. Maj. Gen. Harkirat Singh, Commandant, Command Hospital, Western Command conveyed his grateful thanks to State Bank of India for this CSR contribution. The event was graced by other dignitaries of the Bank, including Sh. Vivek Kumar, Deputy General Manager (B&O), Panchkula, Maj. Gen. Arvind Kapoor (Retd.), Circle Defence Banking Advisory and Sh. Rishi Kumar, Regional Manager.

As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, State Bank of India had extended financial support of Rs. 2900362/- in March 2025 to Command Hospital, Chandimandir for procurement of medical equipment for establishment of this Oncology Day Care Center. This initiative has enabled the Command Hospital to be equipped with modern and advanced facilities, enhancing the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients.

This initiative not only supports the noble cause of cancer treatment but also further strengthens the enduring bond between State Bank of India and the Defence Forces.
