Chandigarh: State Bank of India (SBI) has launched the “Jan Samriddhi Abhiyan,” aimed at opening PMJDY accounts, enrolling beneficiaries under Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY). The campaign also includes re-KYC of savings accounts where KYC is pending, awareness sessions on prevention of digital fraud, and providing information regarding unclaimed deposits. This initiative is being carried out under the Financial Inclusion Campaign.

As part of this campaign, SBI's Khuda Ali Sher branch organized a camp in the village today. The camp was attended by Rohit S. Kashalkar, DGM, SBI Administrative Office, Panchkula; Subhashini Rai, RM, RBO-4, Chandigarh; Ritesh Kumar, AGM, Financial Inclusion, Administrative Office; Bhawna Bisht, Branch Manager; social activist Jagpal Chaudhary; Himani Sharma, Principal of Guru Teg Bahadur Senior Secondary School; and former Sarpanch Dayal Singh.

Over 90 villagers participated in this Financial Inclusion campaign. SBI spread awareness about the initiative in the regional language to better connect with the local population. The villagers actively participated in the campaign, and all their queries were addressed by the DGM and RM.
