CHANDIGARH, 30.06.25-During the monthly meeting of Federation of Sector Welfare Association (FOSWAC) held on June 28, 2025, FOSWAC Patron & President of Residents Welfare Association, Modern Housing Complex Chandigarh, Colonel Gursewak Singh raised a point regarding dealing with habitual complainants who make false allegations against Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) out of personal vendetta. These individuals spread malicious campaigns in government departments, online papers, and police, wasting officials' valuable time.
He suggested that all complaints should be accepted by the Municipal Corporation on affidavit to enable legal action if proven false.

Secondly, those who habitually file false complaints should be blacklisted and an appropriate action as per the law will be taken against them.

Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla and FOSWAC Chairman BS Bittu endorsed these proposals, assuring appropriate action to address this issue. This move aims to protect RWAs from defamation and ensure efficient use of government resources .
