Jalandhar,07.06.25-, In a significant step toward strengthening school–university collaboration and advancing leadership in education, Lovely Professional University (LPU), in association with the Department of Skill Education, CBSE, New Delhi, hosted the Edu-Leaders Conclave. The event was part of CBSE’s nationwide Exposure Visit initiative for school principals.
The two-day conclave welcomed 40+ principals from leading CBSE-affiliated schools across India, including those from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Jammu, Calicut, and other regions.
At the inaugural ceremony, providing strategic direction to the conclave, Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director, Department of Skill Education, CBSE, joined the event virtually. Dr. Saha applauded LPU for facilitating the exposure visit and stressed the importance of such engagements in integrating skill education within school curricula. “This is a timely initiative aligned with the vision of NEP, helping schools chart a more holistic and future-oriented academic roadmap,” Dr. Saha noted.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, emphasized the growing importance of continuous professional development for educators. Dr. Mittal highlighted the need to adapt pedagogical approaches in line with industry expectations and societal transformations, advocating for immersive, experience-based learning to better prepare students for the future.
