McLeod Ganj,6th June 2025:State Bank of India, under its Corporate Social Responsibility programme, donated a fully equipped multi-functional ambulance to The Dalai Lama Trust, McLeod Ganj.
The donation ceremony was held on 6th June 2025 at McLeod Ganj, Himachal Pradesh, in the august presence of Shri Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, Chairman, State Bank of India, along with other senior officials of the Bank, representatives of The Dalai Lama Trust, and members of the local community.
The ambulance will strengthen healthcare services for underprivileged sections in the remote and hilly areas of Kangra district. The Dalai Lama Trust, in collaboration with Tonglen Trust, has been serving these communities for over two decades through education, nutrition, and mobile medical aid.
On the occasion, Shri Setty reaffirmed SBI’s unwavering commitment to social welfare and community development. He appreciated the efforts of the Trust and highlighted the importance of reaching underserved populations with timely medical support.
This initiative is a reflection of SBI’s belief in “Service Beyond Banking” and its continued efforts to bring positive change in society through impactful CSR actions.
