Financial assistance enhanced for ex-servicemen and their widows

SHIMLA, 03.05.25-A spokesperson of the State Government today here informed that in continuation to the Department’s earlier notification dated 27th September, 2018, the Government of Himachal Pradesh has enhanced the monthly financial assistance being provided to ex-servicemen and their widows.

As per the new order, the rate of financial assistance has been increased from Rs. 3,000 per month to Rs. 5,000 per month with effect from 1^st April, 2025. This enhanced assistance would be applicable to ex-servicemen and their widows who are above 60 years of age and are not receiving any kind of pension from the State or Central Government.

The spokesperson further added that this step reflects the State Government’s continued commitment towards the welfare and support of ex-servicemen and their families. The decision has been taken with the prior concurrence of the Finance Department, which was 7^th April, 2025.
