Chandigarh08.10.23- : National Association for the Blind (NAB) successfully organized a free eye check-up camp in collaboration with Advanced Eye Center PGI Chandigarh today at Government Model Senior Secondary School 3B1, Mohali. About 250 children were examined for refractive errors and other eye ailments. This was the sixth camp in the series of eye camps organized by NAB. Cases with serious eye conditions were referred to the hospital. Eye camps are being arranged throughout Mohali district to provide timely eye care to prevent further loss of vision. Such initiatives are helpful for those who cannot afford expensive treatment. Highlight of this eye camp were 10 volunteers from TaskUs, a multinational company in Mohali who offered their services to this noble cause.
NAB Hony President, Vinod Chadha, expressed gratitude to TaskUs for donating equipment for Eye Care and occupational therapy Centre for our Institute at Chandpur. Ms Billy Jhakhar leader of TaskUs team extended her full support to all future endeavors of NAB. These camps are being organized regularly in various schools mostly on Saturdays every week.
