MOHALI,30.06.23-State Bank of India in collaboration with Apni Kheti (Agri News Channel) organized a seminar accompanied by a Question & Answer session at the Apni Kheti Office, Mohali on 19.06.2023 to improve the knowledge of farmers and Agripreneurs. Experts from various domains and departments participated in the seminar to help farmers seeking to start or expand their businesses in Hay, Silage, Paddy, Straw Management / Crop Residue Management and Dairy Farming.

Shri Bipan Gupta, DGM (Agri Business Unit & Govt. Sponsored Schemes) from State Bank of India, LHO Chandigarh emphasized how SBI is helping farmers to set-up their own agri-business. Shri Harish Kumar Wadhawan, Assistant General Manager (Agri Business) from SBI LHO has also explained Agri Schemes during seminar. Shri Than Singh, Farm Sector-Technical Officer from SBI, Agri Business briefly explained their major Schemes i. e. Agri Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, Agri Enterprise Loan (AEL), Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Fund (AHIDF), Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM), Stand-up India, PM-Mudra Yojana, and National Livestock Mission (NLM).

Dr. Harinder Singh, Consultant in Punjab Agro, brought into the limelight the scope of fodder crops in export and domestic use. He also discussed the significance of “Hay” and its game-changing impact in the fodder industry, specifically the most in-demand variety of “Alfa-Alfa”.

A Question & Answer (Q&A) session also took place where dairy farmers & silage processors shared their problems with the experts for better resolution. Attendees facing financial problems related to loan or subsidy applications got clarity with an open discussion with SBI officials.

Apni Kheti Director, Mr. Hunardeep Singh Brar, shared the stage for a Vote of Thanks speech. He assured farmers that Apni Kheti would provide the right information from the right source at the right time with the right market linkages.
