Chandigarh 26.05.2023 : State Bank of India, the country's largest bank conducted CSR activity of donating 130 stretchers for patient care at PGIMER on 26.05.2023. The function was presided by Prof. Vivek Lal, Director, PGI, and the CSR activity was done by Shri Vinod Jaiswal, Chief General Manager of State Bank of India Chandigarh Circle. Sh. Jaiswal said on the occasion that SBI is proud to fulfill its role of CSR service as a Banker to every Indian and provide healthcare support by contributing to the life saving medical services being provided by premier institutions like the PGI as well as the village level PHC. He said everyone in the society gratefully acknowledges the selfless service provided by the medical fraternity to humanity in need, and bank humbly makes CSR contribution to the great institution of PGI.

Prof Vivek Lal thanked State Bank of India and CGM Shri Vinod Jaiswal for the caring CSR donation of 130 stretchers which will help patient welfare at the Institute. With the increasing number of patients coming to PGI, there is a constant demand for stretchers. He also commended SBI for being in the forefront whenever there is need to provide services or CSR at the institute.
