Chandigarh, August 23: Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that social harmony is not a one-day event but a way of life and a value that must be practised throughout life. The true meaning of social harmony is not to erase one’s identity, but to strengthen the unity of society and the nation while ensuring equal respect for every identity.
He said that, carrying forward the spirit of social harmony, mutual goodwill and social unity, and drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas,” the Haryana Government is continuously moving forward with the goal of Antyodaya. The Chief Minister said that the government is firmly committed to ensuring that development schemes and their benefits reach first those who are standing at the last rung of society.
The Chief Minister was addressing the Samrasta Sammelan and Pratibha Samman Samaroh, organised by the Meghwal Utthan Samiti in Bawal Assembly constituency of Rewari district on Sunday. On the occasion, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini also honoured 411 young achievers.
Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Bawal MLA Dr. Krishan Kumar, Rewari MLA Sh. Laxman Yadav, Kosli MLA Sh. Anil Yadav, and members of the organising committee were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji envisioned a society where there was no place for any form of discrimination, fear or injustice. Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Mata Savitribai Phule challenged social orthodoxies, opened the doors of education for all and made historic efforts, particularly for women’s education.
Similarly, Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar regarded education as the most powerful instrument of social transformation and fought for the rights of deprived sections and equal opportunities. The Chief Minister said that although the paths followed by these great personalities may have been different, their destination was the same — knowledge, dignity, equality and equal opportunities for every individual to progress.
When Talented Youth Get a Platform, They Are Bound to Make Their Mark: Chief MinisterThe Chief Minister said that the government is making every effort to ensure that financial constraints do not become an obstacle to a child’s dreams. With this objective, free coaching for competitive examinations is being provided to Scheduled Caste students whose annual family income is up to Rs. 2.50 lakh. Under the Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Students Scholarship Scheme, annual scholarships ranging from Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 12,000 are being provided, while post-matric students are being given educational allowances ranging from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 13,500, along with mandatory fee support.
Students of Classes 9 and 10 are provided an annual scholarship of Rs. 3,500, while those residing in hostels receive Rs. 7,000 annually. Free bicycles have been provided to 9,090 students at a cost of Rs. 3 crore, while 4.02 lakh students from Classes 1 to 8 have received incentive assistance amounting to Rs. 44.18 crore.
He said that under Mission Buniyaad, around 400 children received digital coaching, of whom 272 students were selected for institutions such as the IITs, while 61 students qualified for NEET. He said that when talented youth receive the right platform, they are bound to demonstrate their potential.

The Chief Minister said that the government’s objective is not merely to provide financial assistance to needy sections, but to empower them to become self-reliant with dignity.
Under the Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana, Scheduled Caste families are provided Rs. 71,000 for the marriage of their daughters. Over the past 11 years, Rs. 1,200 crore has been distributed under the scheme.
Similarly, during the last 18 months, Rs. 2,042 crore has been transferred to the accounts of 10 lakh women under the Lado Lakshmi Yojana. To expand the scheme, the registration portal will be opened in September, enabling women from families with an annual income of up to Rs. 1.80 lakh to apply.
Under the scheme providing LPG cylinders to mothers and sisters from poor families at Rs. 500, an amount of Rs. 300 crore has so far been transferred directly into beneficiaries’ accounts.
CM Assures Positive Action on All Demands of Meghwal Utthan Samiti, Announces Rs. 31 Lakh Grant
Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini accepted all 10 demands put forward by the Meghwal Utthan Samiti and said that these would be forwarded to the concerned departments for necessary approval.
Regarding the demand for construction of Dharamshalas in Rewari and Bawal, the Chief Minister said that once the committee identifies the locations, the government would initiate the process of making land available as per the prescribed rules.
The Chief Minister said that the government has set a target of establishing libraries in every panchayat. Around 1,000 libraries have already been opened across the state, and the initiative would soon be expanded to all villages so that children do not have to travel long distances for studies and preparation for competitive examinations.
\On the occasion, the Chief Minister also announced a grant of Rs. 31 lakh for the Meghwal Utthan Samiti.
Development Has Transformed Ahirwal, Reaching Every Section of Society: Rao Narbir Singh
Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, while addressing the gathering, said that the development landscape of the Ahirwal region has undergone a major transformation since 2014. Earlier, there were complaints that development and employment opportunities remained confined to certain areas, but the BJP Government has accelerated balanced development across the state in the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.”
He said that today, the Ahirwal region has witnessed extensive improvements in roads, employment opportunities and other development works.
Rao Narbir Singh praised Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini for his simple, humble and affable nature, saying that despite his busy schedule, the Chief Minister always remains accessible to the people and is willing to listen to their concerns.
He said that the Chief Minister always wears a smile and makes every effort to understand people’s problems and find solutions. Even when people come to meet him late at night, he listens to them and makes efforts to address their concerns, he added.

Addressing the gathering, Bawal MLA Dr. Krishan Kumar said that Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar regarded education, organisation and self-respect as the foundation of social progress and, through the Constitution, gave the nation the great ideals of equality, liberty, justice and fraternity.
He said that Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji and Sant Kabir Ji also gave the message of rising above social discrimination and inequality and moving forward with brotherhood and harmony.
He said that the goal underlying Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s philosophy of Antyodaya and Baba Saheb’s principle of equality was the upliftment of the last person in society and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
He said that, carrying forward these great ideals and thoughts, the Haryana Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, is continuously working towards building a harmonious society. Nayab Singh Saini, while interacting with mediapersons after the inauguration ceremony of rail connectivity to the Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub in the Nangal Chaudhary area, said that the entire region is poised to emerge as one of the country’s major economic capitals in the coming years. The Chief Minister said that the strong foundation for this project was laid through the vision of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi for a Viksit Bharat and the efforts of former Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal, and the project is now taking concrete shape.
Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Narnaul MLA Sh. Om Parkash Yadav and Mahendragarh MLA Sh. Kanwar Singh Yadav were present on the occasion.
He said that several major private-sector investors are showing keen interest in the project, which would create employment opportunities on a large scale for local youth. Industries Minister Rao Narbir Singh, MLAs and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
Highlighting the infrastructure development undertaken in the state, the Chief Minister said that before 2014, it took around 10 hours to travel from Chandigarh to Nangal Chaudhary, whereas the construction of modern expressways has now significantly reduced the travel time.
The Chief Minister said that today, every district of Haryana is directly connected through four-lane highways and Green Corridor expressways. He said that earlier, transport facilities were arranged after industries were established, whereas the present government has first created world-class transportation infrastructure so that products of farmers, traders and industrialists from Mahendragarh, Rewari and adjoining areas can reach global markets rapidly through the Mumbai port. He said that this project would prove to be a milestone not only for Haryana but also for the economic development of neighbouring Rajasthan.
Taking aim at the Opposition, the Chief Minister said that people would no longer be misled by their false claims and deceptive narratives. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the country is continuously progressing, and this region occupies a prominent place among the Prime Minister’s development priorities.
Responding to a question regarding developments in the fields of education and healthcare, the Chief Minister said that, in accordance with the long-standing demand of the local leadership, the Maharshi Chyavan Medical College, Koriyawas, has also commenced operations in the region, with MBBS classes being conducted regularly.
He said that with the completion of comprehensive infrastructure development, the entire region would emerge as a new hub of prosperity and industrial growth.

The Chief Minister said that Haryana would no longer remain merely a producer of goods, but would emerge as a major hub for efficiently connecting its products with both global and domestic markets. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi for this far-reaching project, he said that under the Prime Minister’s continuous guidance and monitoring, this Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub would prove to be a historic milestone in the overall development of the state. He said that former Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal had laid a strong foundation for this ambitious project. Now, the project would serve as a cornerstone in fulfilling the Prime Minister’s national resolve of building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
The Chief Minister said that the state government’s new development model was progressing rapidly on the ground. Through this model, local products from Haryana would now establish strong and direct access to major global markets, and the entire region would, in the coming years, establish itself as a major economic capital.
He said that, from an overall perspective, the entire project is being developed in two phases over a vast area of 886 acres. At present, work on the first phase covering 408 acres has been completed.
The Chief Minister said that the modern logistics hub has been equipped with highly organised and time-efficient systems for freight movement, storage, loading and unloading of goods, and their prompt dispatch. This would not only save industries considerable time and money but would also significantly enhance industrial efficiency.
He called upon leading entrepreneurs from the country and the state to participate actively in the invited tenders under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework and become active partners in Haryana’s unprecedented journey of progress. He said that this modern hub would open up countless new avenues of prosperity for local youth, traders and entrepreneurs in the days to come.

Chandigarh, August 23: Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday flagged off the first freight train from the newly constructed rail yard of the Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub (IMLH) located in the Nangal Chaudhary area of Mahendragarh district. The commencement of this railway connectivity, developed at a cost of approximately Rs. 280 crore, will further strengthen Haryana’s logistics infrastructure. The Chief Minister said this marks a historic step towards establishing Haryana among the country’s leading logistics networks.
Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Narnaul MLA Sh. Om Parkash Yadav and Mahendragarh MLA Sh. Kanwar Singh Yadav were present on the occasion.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that in the first phase, the project is being developed over approximately 408 acres at a total cost of Rs. 1,300 crore. The project is among the country’s top 50 major infrastructure projects. Once fully operational, the project will have the capacity to handle approximately 2 million containers annually, directly benefiting key sectors such as automobiles, machinery, garments and agricultural products.
The Chief Minister said that the Nangal Chaudhary hub integrates both rail and road connectivity, enabling the movement of goods from the western ports to the National Capital Region (NCR) to become faster, smoother and more cost-effective.
He said that the operation of this hub would open up new avenues for employment and business opportunities across the region. The government has already completed basic infrastructure facilities such as electricity, water and roads in the area.
The Chief Minister called upon industrialists and investors to come forward under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and become partners in Haryana’s rapid industrial development journey.
The state-level programme was jointly organised by the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Haryana; Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC); and Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), an undertaking under the Ministry of Railways.
On the occasion, Former Minister Dr. Abhay Singh Yadav, HSIIDC Managing Director Sh. Sushil Sarwan, Sh. Manish Awasthi, Sh. Jitendra Shrivastava, Sh. Vivek Tyagi, besides other dignitaries, were also present.
