Government Emphasises Transparent and Time-Bound Disbursement of Incentives to Boost Investment, Employment and Industrial DevelopmentChandigarh, September 10 – In line with Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini’s Budget announcement to ensure transparency and timely disbursement of incentives, the first tranche of incentives amounting to Rs. 311.25 crore has been released to 670 beneficiaries under various schemes of the Directorate of MSME and the Directorate of Industries and Commerce through e-Kuber.

Addressing a press conference at Haryana Niwas on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that while presenting the Budget, he announced that after submitting an application on the Invest Haryana portal and completing the necessary scrutiny, 50 per cent of the eligible incentive amount would be released in advance within seven working days. The remaining 50 per cent would be released within 45 working days after completion of the detailed scrutiny of the application.

Reiterating this commitment, the Chief Minister said that the State Government is committed to ensuring time-bound disbursement of incentives, extending all possible support to entrepreneurs and strengthening the MSME sector in Haryana. He said that timely release of incentives is crucial for enterprises and reflects the government’s commitment to providing a transparent and facilitative ecosystem for industry.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), mega and large industries play an important role in strengthening Haryana’s economy, generating employment and creating opportunities for the people of the state. Of the incentives released today, Rs. 45.44 crore has been released to 539 beneficiaries under the Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy (HEEP) of the MSME Department, Rs. 9.29 crore to four beneficiaries under the Logistics, Warehousing and Retail Policy (LWR), and Rs. 144.16 crore to 16 beneficiaries under the Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy (HEEP) of the Directorate of Industries.

Besides this, Rs. 24.53 crore has been released to 10 beneficiaries under the Plug and Play Scheme. Similarly, Rs. 65.18 crore has been provided to 98 beneficiaries under the Aatmanirbhar Textile Policy, Rs. 20.54 crore to two beneficiaries under the Programme to Accelerate Development for MSME Advancement (PADMA), and Rs. 2.11 crore for one cluster development under the MSE Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP).

Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh said that the Haryana Government is implementing various schemes and policies for enterprises across the state, with special emphasis on time-bound disbursement of incentives, transparent processes and timely assistance to eligible beneficiaries. The Department is continuously working to support entrepreneurs, MSMEs, mega and large industries across Haryana and to ensure that financial assistance provided under various policies reaches eligible beneficiaries promptly.

Chandigarh, September 10 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini released Rs. 1,890.16 crore directly into the bank accounts of 50,28,208 eligible beneficiaries under 26 different schemes. These include the instalment under the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, social security pensions for the elderly and persons with disabilities, financial assistance to needy families under the DAYALU Yojana, gas subsidy for homemakers, Bhavantar compensation for farmers, and incentives to entrepreneurs under various schemes of the Industries and Commerce Department.

The Chief Minister said that the double-engine government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach every eligible person directly, transparently and in a time-bound manner.

Addressing a press conference at Haryana Niwas on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that the 11th instalment of the ‘Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi’ Yojana has been released today. Under the scheme, Rs. 212.16 crore has been credited to the bank accounts of 10.10 lakh women beneficiaries. With this, a total amount of Rs. 2,254.47 crore has been released under the scheme in 11 instalments so faHe said that from September 17, families with an annual income of up to Rs. 1.80 lakh will also start receiving benefits under the scheme. The State Government has made a provision of Rs. 6,500 crore for the Lado Lakshmi Yojana in the budget for the current financial year.

On this occasion, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. Arun Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department, Sh. K. Makrand Pandurang, Director, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department, Dr Aditya Dahiya, OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. *Over 35 Lakh Beneficiaries Receive Rs. 1,129 Crore as Social Security Pension*

The Chief Minister said that Rs. 1,129.05 crore has been transferred directly into the bank accounts of 35,06,841 beneficiaries today under 15 social security pension schemes. These include the Old Age Samman Allowance, Disability Allowance and other social security pensions.

He said that the government has brought about a systemic change by adopting a ‘Pro-Active Model’. Eligibility is determined automatically on the basis of the Parivar Pehchan Patra database, enabling eligible citizens to receive social security pensions from their homes without having to visit government offices or submit applications. He said that payments through Direct Benefit Transfer reflect the government’s commitment to transparency and good governance.

Besides this, financial assistance of Rs. 168 crore 13 lakh 21 thousand has been provided to 4,520 families under the DAYALU Yojana. These include 70 families under DAYALU Yojana-2. Including the amount released today, financial assistance of Rs. 3,320 crore 61 lakh 21 thousand has so far been provided to 89,056 families.

*Rs. 19.68 Crore Gas Subsidy Transferred to 5 Lakh Women*

The Chief Minister said that under the ‘Har Ghar-Har Grihini Yojana’, a subsidy of Rs. 19.68 crore has also been transferred today into the bank accounts of 5 lakh women who got their gas cylinders refilled during July. Under the scheme, eligible women are being provided a gas cylinder for Rs. 500 every month. Including the amount released today, a total of Rs. 359.82 crore has so far been transferred into the bank accounts of 14.65 lakh eligible women.

*Farmers Receive Bhavantar Compensation*

The Chief Minister said that Rs. 49.89 crore has been released today to 6,177 farmers as Bhavantar compensation for potato, cauliflower and honey under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana. This includes Rs. 48.09 crore for 6,012 potato growers, Rs. 46.76 lakh for 99 cauliflower growers and Rs. 1 crore 32 lakh 73 thousand for 66 honey producers.

The Bhavantar amount for potato has been released to vegetable growers in Ambala, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Yamunanagar and Panchkula districts. The amount for cauliflower has been provided to farmers in Ambala, Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar districts. The amount for honey is being released to beekeepers in Ambala, Bhiwani, Fatehabad, Gurugram, Hisar, Jhajjar, Jind, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Narnaul, Rewari, Rohtak, Sirsa and Yamunanagar districts.

The Chief Minister said that including the amount released today, Rs. 246.95 crore has so far been provided to 45,764 farmers as Bhavantar compensation.

The Chief Minister said that Rs. 311.25 crore has also been released to 670 beneficiaries under seven schemes of the MSME and Industries Directorates as per the announcement made by him while presenting the Budget.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government’s priority is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the bank accounts of the poor, farmers, women, the elderly, persons with disabilities and needy families directly, while also ensuring timely incentives to entrepreneurs. Through a transparent system, DBT and the Pro-Active Model, the government is ensuring that eligible persons do not have to make rounds of government offices to avail themselves of these benefits.

He said that, in all, Rs. 1,890.16 crore has been released today into the bank accounts of 50,28,208 eligible beneficiaries under 26 different schemes.

*Haryana Intensifies Efforts to Curb Water and Air Pollution, Chief Secretary Reviews Action Plans*

Chandigarh, September 10: Haryana Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi reviewed the State's twin environmental action programmes: the Yamuna Action Plan and air quality improvement measures for Delhi and the National Capital Region. Progress was reported on sewage and effluent treatment infrastructure, village-level wastewater management, biogas projects, and intensified efforts on vehicular emissions, road dust, stubble management, and greening.

These reviews highlighted Haryana's ongoing efforts to address water and air pollution through infrastructure development, regulatory enforcement, technology-enabled monitoring, and regular progress assessments.

During the Yamuna Action Plan review, the Chief Secretary assessed district-wise progress in sewage treatment plants, common effluent treatment plants, village wastewater management schemes, and biogas infrastructure across the Yamuna catchment. Divisional Commissioners from Ambala, Faridabad, Rohtak, Gurugram, and Karnal presented their reports.

Member Secretary, Haryana State Pollution Control Board, Sh. Yogesh Kumar informed that six sewage treatment plants with a combined capacity of 132 MLD are under construction at Bajghera, Khewra in Sonipat, Radaur Road in Yamunanagar, Dadlana in Panipat, Badshapur in Faridabad and Sodhapur in Panipat.

As of September 9, progress stood at 86 per cent at Bajghera, 50 per cent at Khewra, 75 per cent at Radaur Road, 60 per cent at Dadlana, 25 per cent at Badshapur and 65 per cent at Sodhapur. The six projects are expected to be completed by December 2027.

The State is simultaneously upgrading six STPs with a combined capacity of 304 MLD at Gohana, Sonaria in Rohtak, Line Par in Bahadurgarh, Hassanpur in Palwal, Dhanwapur in Gurugram and Bahrampur in Gurugram. Several additional STP projects are advancing through tendering, technical evaluation, and other implementation stages.

The review also addressed proposed Common Effluent Treatment Plants to strengthen industrial wastewater treatment. For the proposed 50 MLD CETP at Partapgarh in Faridabad, tenders were invited on August 10 and the last date for bid submission is September 14.

The proposed 25 MLD CETP at Mirzapur in Faridabad is at the DPR and estimate examination stage, while the estimate for the 15 MLD Badshahpur CETP has been prepared at Rs 200.17 crore and is expected to move through the next approval stages.

The review also addressed major pollution concerns related to key drains. In the old industrial area near Saini Colony in Panipat, a CETP is proposed to treat industrial effluent entering Drain No. 2. The Regional Office of the Haryana State Pollution Control Board has inspected 14 units in the area, and action has been taken against four defaulting units.

Village-level sewage and wastewater management remains a key component of the Yamuna Action Plan. As of September 9, five works had been completed, and seven were in progress.

Completed works include projects at Peont, Chandoli, Kachhwa, Nigdhu and Madlauda, while the three-pond system at Katwal in Sonipat is under progress.

The State is advancing three new or proposed biogas plants with a combined capacity of 650 tonnes per day. The 400 TPD Rai-Jakhauli plant in Sonipat is under construction, while the 100 TPD Mohna-Ballabhgarh project in Faridabad has its estimate prepared and sent for approval of non-scheduled items.

In a separate review, the Chief Secretary assessed Haryana's implementation of interventions identified by the Committee on Air Pollution in Delhi and NCR. The review addressed vehicular emissions, dust and garbage-related emissions, stubble and biomass burning, and greening initiatives.

The PARIVARTAN Scheme portal, which supports the replacement of old trucks and buses, is now operational. The first application was received on July 22, 2026. The State has been directed to proactively encourage eligible truck and bus owners to register and participate in the scheme.

The review framework addresses both ex-situ and in-situ stubble management, with emphasis on small-scale biomass plants due to advances in Compressed Biogas technology. The Agriculture Department and HAREDA will implement these interventions.

The Forest Department's action points include achieving plantation targets, increasing tree canopy cover, and promoting the development of small green spaces.

Additional Chief Secretary, Environment, Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary, PW (B&R), AK Singh, Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Sh. Vinay Pratap Singh, and other senior officers were present in the meeting.

Makarand Pandurang, Commissioner & Secretary, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department, Commissioner & Secretary, Mines & Geology Department, and CEO, Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority, Panchkula, as In-charge of Charkhi Dadri district, in addition to his present duties.

An order to this effect was issued by Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi.

As per the order, the Administrative Secretaries and other IAS officers allotted districts will submit quarterly feedback to the Monitoring & Coordination Cell in the revised feedback format. The feedback will cover a review of projects costing ₹25 crore and above, along with a broad review of overall incidents of crime and occurrences of heinous crime.

The officers will also review Vigilance matters, particularly clearances falling within the ambit of Sections 17A and 19 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, as well as the efficacy and functioning of the service delivery mechanism envisaged under the Right to Service Act.

The review will further cover the functioning and key parameters of the Health, Education and Social Sectors. In addition, the officers will examine impediments faced by the DETC with regard to taxes, GST and other related matters.

The Administrative Secretaries may also interact with MLAs and other public representatives in the presence of the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police. They may also visit one important site relating to the Health and Education Departments in the allotted district.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the system has undergone a significant transformation. Today, financial assistance under various welfare schemes is being transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries. He said the government is working to strengthen the poor, empower women, ensure dignity for senior citizens and provide greater opportunities to youth.

*Lado Lakshmi Yojana Providing Financial Support to Women*

The Chief Minister said that in keeping with the promise made to the women of Haryana before the elections, financial assistance of Rs. 2,100 per month is being transferred directly into their bank accounts under the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana.

At present, women belonging to families with an annual income of up to Rs. 1 lakh are covered under the scheme. Its ambit will subsequently be expanded to include women from families with an annual income of up to Rs. 1.80 lakh. Registration for the expanded coverage will commence on September 17, observed as ‘Seva Diwas’.

Similarly, the State Government has adopted a proactive model under which eligible senior citizens receive pensions directly into their accounts. Recalling the earlier system, the Chief Minister said that during the Congress regime, senior citizens had to make repeated visits to government offices to get their pensions sanctioned and also faced difficulties in accessing their rightful benefits.

*Government Has Made LPG Cylinders More Accessible to Poor Families*

The Chief Minister said that during the Congress regime, people often had to wait in long queues for LPG cylinders, and the difficulties were even greater for poor families. He said that the situation has changed significantly under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi. Through the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the government has made LPG cylinders available to poor women at Rs. 500, providing significant relief to families.

Responding to a question regarding the anti-drug campaign in Punjab, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the situation in the neighbouring State raises questions about the effectiveness of its campaign against drugs. He said that Haryana, on the other hand, is working with a clear resolve to keep youth away from drugs by connecting them with sports and education.

He said lakhs of youth participate in various initiatives every month as part of the State Government’s efforts towards a drug-free Haryana. Sports infrastructure is also being strengthened at the grassroots level to provide young people better opportunities to develop their talent and move forward.

*Opposition Resorting to Politics over Development Works-CM*

The Chief Minister said that the opposition has been unable to raise substantive issues against the government. He said opposition leaders visit places where tenders for development works have already been issued by the government, get photographs clicked and subsequently raise the matter on social media.

He said that while the government is focused on implementing development works on the ground, opposition parties are increasingly relying on social media politics. Referring to the protest outside the HKRN office, the Chief Minister said that the present government has introduced a system aimed at protecting youth from exploitation through contractors and bringing greater transparency to employment arrangements.

*Haryana Has Made Governance More Accessible to Citizens*

The Chief Minister said that during the Congress regime, government offices generally became inaccessible to the public after working hours. Referring to Punjab, he said that extensive barricading has created a sense of distance between the government and ordinary citizens. In contrast, the Haryana Government has worked to make governance and public services more accessible to the people.

He said that farmers, youth, women and other sections of society had faced several challenges under previous governments. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the government has brought about systemic changes by placing the poor, women, farmers, youth and senior citizens at the centre of its welfare policies and translating its commitments into action on the ground.

Responding to a question regarding the strike by sanitation workers in Haryana, the Chief Minister said that every member of the Valmiki community is like a member of the government’s own family and their concerns and demands are considered on priority. He said that employees should not be misled by those seeking to create misunderstandings and should continue to cooperate with the government in resolving their concerns.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that a large number of people in Punjab are joining the BJP after leaving the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress. Recently, more than 1,000 prominent persons from various sections of Punjab joined the BJP. He said they want to see Punjab emerge stronger and believe that this can be achieved under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister said that if a BJP government is formed in Punjab, public welfare initiatives on the lines of Haryana will also be implemented there and the State will be taken forward on the path of development while upholding the teachings and values of the Gurus.

Special Campaign for Filing Claims and Objections under SIR-2026

BLOs to Remain Available at Polling Stations from 9 AM to 5 PM: A. Sreenivas

Chandigarh, September 10 – Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, Sh. A. Sreenivas said that under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) being conducted by the Election Commission of India in Haryana, a special campaign will be organised on September 12-13 and September 26-27 for the convenience of voters. On these dates, all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) across the State will remain present at their respective polling stations from 9 AM to 5 PM to receive claims and objections from eligible voters.

The Chief Electoral Officer appealed to citizens to check the draft electoral roll and ensure that their names, as well as those of eligible members of their families, are included. If the name of an eligible person is not included in the electoral roll, a claim for inclusion can be submitted through Form-6 along with the required documents and declaration. So far, a total of 1,71,233 Form-6 applications have been received.

For correction of name, address, age, photograph or other particulars in the electoral roll, Form-8 can be submitted along with the required documents and declaration. So far, a total of 1,30,122 Form-8 applications have been received.

For deletion of the name of an ineligible, deceased or shifted voter, or a voter already registered elsewhere, an objection can be filed through Form-7 in accordance with the prescribed procedure. So far, a total of 16,111 Form-7 applications have been received.

Claims and objections can be submitted at the office of the concerned Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO). Citizens can also apply online through voters.eci.gov.in in accordance with the prescribed procedure.

During the special campaign, citizens can contact the concerned BLO or Electoral Registration Officer for necessary information and assistance relating to the electoral roll. Claims and objections can be submitted up to September 30, 2026. Information can also be obtained through the ‘Book a Call’ facility on the ECINET App or through Voter Helpline 1950.

The Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, appealed to citizens to make use of the special campaign dates and get their names enrolled in the electoral roll, thereby strengthening democracy.

*Expedite Construction of IMC in Hisar to Give New Impetus to Development: CM Nayab Singh Saini*

Chandigarh, September 10 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini directed that the construction work of the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) near the airport in Hisar be expedited. He said that the development of the IMC would boost economic activities in the entire region and give fresh impetus to the development of Hisar and adjoining areas.

The Chief Minister issued these directions while chairing a review meeting on various development projects costing more than ₹75 crore being implemented in the state under the ‘State Pragati Portal’ on Thursday. During the meeting, Sh. Saini reviewed the progress of 11 development projects pertaining to various departments and issued necessary directions for their timely completion. Important projects related to Civil Aviation, Energy and the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) were reviewed in detail.

The Chief Minister conducted a special review of the progress of Phase-II of the Swarn Jayanti Integrated Aviation Hub, Hisar. Officers apprised him of the status of airport infrastructure, the new terminal and ATC building, water supply, drainage system and other allied works under the project. The Chief Minister directed the officers to explore possibilities for increasing the number of flights from Hisar to different parts of the country. He also emphasised promoting connecting flights, wherever possible, so that maximum passengers could benefit.

The officers informed that work is progressing rapidly towards developing the Haryana Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) project over 1,578 acres in Hisar. 100 per cent of the land required for the project is already with the government. Environmental clearance has also been obtained. The tender for construction work has been floated, and the process of evaluation and selection of bids is at the final stage. Work will commence thereafter.

The Chief Minister directed that there should be no delay in construction works related to the IMC and that quality should not be compromised under any circumstances. He said that special provisions should also be made in the IMC for the development of the aerospace, Army corridor and medical sectors. He also issued detailed directions to the officers regarding MRO activities at Hisar Airport.

The Chief Minister sought information from the officers regarding the physical progress of the projects, stipulated timelines, cost revisions, bottlenecks and the action plan ahead. He directed that regular monitoring of all projects be ensured and that necessary steps be taken wherever the pace of work is slow, so that the projects are completed within the stipulated timelines.

*Major Energy Sector Projects Also Reviewed*

The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of various important projects of the Energy Department. These included renovation of 11 kV feeder lines under the Smart City programme in Gurugram, RDSS works in the Jagadhri Division of Yamunanagar, installation of an 800 MW ultra-supercritical unit in Yamunanagar, loss-reduction works under RDSS in Rewari district, and projects related to strengthening various 33 kV substations.

Energy Department Commissioner and Secretary Smt. Ashima Brar informed that 93 per cent work has been completed in one of the projects for renovation of 11 kV feeder lines in Gurugram, while 79 per cent work has been completed in the other. Both projects will be completed by July and November 2027, respectively. She said that some bottlenecks had been encountered in the RDSS project in the Jagadhri area due to the requirement of forest clearances for works in forest areas and standing crops in agricultural fields. However, the work is now progressing smoothly and will be completed by December 2026.

*800 MW Unit in Yamunanagar Reviewed*

The Chief Minister also reviewed the project for installation of an 800 MW ultra-supercritical unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar. Officers informed that work on the ₹7,272-crore project is progressing as per schedule and is expected to be completed by December 2029.

The meeting also reviewed the progress of the main plant, boiler, ESP, turbine, roads and drainage, switchyard, fly ash silo and other construction works under the project.

*Power Projects in Rewari and Sadhaura Also Reviewed*

Smt. Ashima Brar informed that approximately 86 per cent of the loss-reduction project under RDSS in Rewari district has been completed and the project will be completed by November 30, 2026.

Similarly, 95 per cent of the work on the project to upgrade the 66 kV substation at Sadhaura to the 220 kV level has been completed. She said that several important transformers have already been commissioned, while construction of the 220 kV bay is in progress. The project is targeted for completion by November 30, 2026.

*Focus on Power Projects Related to Farmers*

The Chief Minister also reviewed the project for installation of 4,717 H-poles and provision of new transformers for agricultural connections in the Kurukshetra Circle. Officers informed that 57 per cent of the work has been completed and, as per the revised target, the remaining work will be completed by March 2027.

Similarly, 72 per cent of the work on the project involving 2,847 H-poles and new transformers in the Kaithal Circle has been completed, and the project is targeted for completion by December 2026.

The Chief Minister directed the officers that major development projects form the foundation of the state’s economic and industrial growth, and therefore, unnecessary delays would not be tolerated at any level. He directed the departments to work in close coordination to resolve pending approvals and other bottlenecks at the earliest and ensure continuous monitoring of project progress.

Chandigarh, September 10 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that proposals should be prepared with a target of covering more than 2 lakh acres of land in the state under the Watershed Development Component, while ensuring the inclusion of as many blocks as possible.

The Chief Minister was chairing a review meeting on the Watershed Development Component (WDC) of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) 2.0. Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sh. Rajesh Khullar, was also present in the meeting.

The Chief Minister said that maximum number of farmers in the state should be encouraged to adopt drip irrigation for sugarcane cultivation. He further directed that sites in the Morni and Shivalik areas be identified for construction of check dams and for water conservation and drinking water activities, so that rainwater can be collected and effectively utilised for drinking water schemes.

Sh. Saini conducted a detailed review of the Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme, Har Khet Ko Pani, Per Drop More Crop, Watershed Development Component, Intensive Watershed Development Management Programme, land and water conservation activities and the Atal Bhujal Yojana. He issued necessary directions to the officers regarding irrigation, groundwater recharge, and conservation and utilisation of rainwater.

*₹40 Crore Spent on Micro-Watershed Works in 74 Villages of 9 Blocks*

The Chief Minister said that under the Watershed Development Component of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana, ₹40 crore has been spent on micro-watershed works in 74 villages across nine blocks—Bahal, Loharu, Badhra, Nangal Chaudhary, Mahendragarh, Sohna, Pataudi, Chhachhrauli and Sadhaura—in five districts of the state, namely Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh, Gurugram and Yamunanagar.

He said that 531 works have been undertaken under various water conservation activities, including rainwater harvesting ponds, water tanks, recharge bores, percolation ponds, soak pits, renovation of village ponds, construction of ramps for ponds, rooftop rainwater harvesting, underground pipelines, open water channels, water storage tanks, desilting of earthen dams, construction of new community ponds, construction of new wastewater channels and water management systems.

These include 229 works in Bhiwani district, 82 in Charkhi Dadri, 107 in Gurugram, 77 in Mahendragarh and 36 in Yamunanagar.

The Chief Minister said that under the water conservation activities being implemented in the state, 70 water reservoirs have been created over 421.79 acres of land. In addition, 131 water reservoirs have been proposed under the Water Secure Haryana Programme. These water conservation works have made recharge and irrigation facilities available over approximately 77,500 acres of land for farmers in the state.

*40,405 Farmers Adopted Drip Irrigation Under Atal Bhujal Yojana*

He said that 1,000 borewells have been installed at a cost of ₹35 crore in the blocks of Babain, Shahabad, Thanesar, Pipli, Ismailabad, Guhla, Siwan, Ratia and Sirsa. In addition, 847 more borewells are being installed in Sirsa, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Hisar and Fatehabad.

Other works undertaken include check dams, recharge wells, dams and embankments, safety walls, renovation of water bodies and drop structures.

Under the Atal Bhujal Yojana, drip irrigation has been adopted by 40,405 farmers covering 77,175 hectares of land.

*Haryana Unleashes 100-Day Drive against Anemia, Targets 10-Point Reduction Within a Year*

Chandigarh, September 10 — Stepping up Haryana’s battle against anemia, Additional Chief Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Sumita Misra on Thursday announced an ambitious target of reducing the State’s anemia burden by 10 points within the next year, as Haryana prepares to roll out an expanded 7x7x7 framework under the Anemia Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

The 7×7×7 approach is a simple strategy to fight anaemia by focusing on seven key groups of people, using seven major interventions such as iron-folic acid supplementation, testing and treatment, deworming and nutrition counselling, and strengthening seven systems to ensure these services reach people regularly.

The intensified strategy will bring low-birth-weight babies aged up to six months into the beneficiary framework, promote locally available iron-rich foods and dietary diversification, and strengthen digital monitoring and case tracking, marking a sharper shift towards technology-driven and outcome-based action against anemia.

Addressing the State-level Anemia Mukt Haryana workshop in Chandigarh today, Dr. Misra said a 100-day intensive campaign will begin on September 17, with the State focusing on reaching every beneficiary, strengthening the last-mile supply chain and ensuring that every identified anemia case is not only tested and treated but also tracked until the desired outcome is achieved.

Haryana has already recorded a significant decline in anemia prevalence across several beneficiary groups. Data from the State’s Anemia Tracking Web Application shows that the overall tracked prevalence of anemia has declined from 59.3 per cent in 2022-23 to 47.7 per cent in June 2026, providing the State with a strong platform for the next, more aggressive phase of the campaign.

The sharpest improvement has been recorded among children aged 6-59 months, where anemia prevalence has fallen from 57.7 per cent in 2022-23 to 34.1 per cent in June 2026, a reduction of more than 23 percentage points.

Among children aged 5-9 years, the prevalence has declined from 54.8 per cent to 45.4 per cent. Among pregnant women, anemia prevalence has fallen from 69.8 per cent to 53.3 per cent, while among women in the reproductive age group it has declined from 70 per cent to 63.8 per cent.

Dr. Misra said the improvement showed that Haryana's interventions were producing results but stressed that the State could not afford to slow down. “Technology is there to help us, but our intention is required to make the change a transformational one on the ground,” She said, urging districts to learn from each other's achievements and replicate best practices.

Dr. Misra said the next phase would be driven by the T4 approach — Test, Treat, Talk and Track — marking a shift from detection and treatment alone towards individual case management, continuous follow-up and measurable health outcomes.

Describing anemia as a challenge with far-reaching consequences, she said it affects maternal and infant health and the learning outcomes and future potential of children, and therefore required sustained institutional urgency rather than periodic interventions.

She said anemia should not be seen merely as a health statistic but as an issue requiring coordinated action across government and at the grassroots level.

The expanded 7x7x7 framework represents the next stage of the campaign. Besides adding low-birth-weight babies as a seventh beneficiary group and “Eating Right” as an additional intervention, it introduces a stronger digital framework to ensure that cases are tracked and interventions are monitored in real time.

The AMB Abhiyaan Mobile App will provide real-time dashboards, hotspot mapping and individual case tracking, enabling authorities to identify areas where anemia cases are concentrated and direct resources towards the most affected populations. The system will also support guided treatment protocols and real-time monitoring.

In a strong message on accountability, Dr. Misra said anemia could not be tackled by the Health Department alone. She called for active convergence with departments dealing with women and child development, education, Panchayati Raj, rural development, urban local bodies, youth and sports, water and sanitation, and public communication.

Dr. Misra directed every district to activate District and Block-level convergence committees without delay and strengthen the iron and folic acid supply chain from end to end.

Dr. Misra said the campaign was aimed at translating policy and technology into measurable improvements in public health. A sustained reduction in anemia, she said, would contribute to improving maternal and infant health outcomes and strengthen the productivity and potential of beneficiaries across Haryana.

She urged district officers to leave the workshop with clear and practical district-level action plans rather than merely discussions and notes. “Let us move from testing to treating, from treating to tracking, and from tracking to truly transforming outcomes for the women and children of Haryana,” she said.

Chandigarh, September 10 – Haryana showcased its growing potential as a film production and shooting destination at the four-day ‘International Film Festival Jammu & Kashmir’ in Srinagar, highlighting the State’s film-friendly policy, incentives, simplified shooting permission process and diverse locations before filmmakers, media students and young participants from across the country.

Participating actively as a partner state, Haryana set up a dedicated stall at the festival, organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. Various other states from across the country also participated in the festival.

The Haryana stall drew keen interest from filmmakers, students associated with film and media, and youth. Visitors were apprised of the opportunities for film production and shooting in Haryana, facilities available in the State, and incentives being offered to filmmakers under the Haryana Film Policy-2022.

Filmmakers were informed that the Haryana Government is providing various subsidies and incentives under its film policy to promote film production in the State. The process for obtaining shooting permissions has also been made simple and convenient so that filmmakers do not face unnecessary procedural difficulties and can easily shoot at various locations across Haryana.

Visitors to the Haryana stall were also informed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the State Government is making sustained efforts to develop Haryana as an attractive and promising destination for film production. The government aims to effectively showcase Haryana’s rich historical and cultural heritage, art, folk traditions and diverse geographical locations to filmmakers from India and abroad.

Information about Haryana’s historical and cultural heritage, major tourist destinations and attractive shooting locations was also showcased at the stall. Besides members of the film fraternity, a large number of young visitors showed keen interest and enthusiasm in learning about Haryana’s culture.

Youth and participants associated with the film industry appreciated the efforts being made by the State Government to develop Haryana as a promising and attractive destination for film production.
