Chandigarh, 17 September: Career Guidance Cell of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, in collaboration with Singapore Management University (SMU), Singapore, organised an interactive session on ‘Style Learning and Its Real-World Impact’ to provide students with global exposure and practical insights into diverse approaches to learning. The session was conducted with the objective of helping students understand the relevance of effective learning strategies in academic, personal and professional development.

Ms. Seema Parakkat, Country Manager- India, SMU, led the session and engaged students in a thought-provoking discussion on learning styles, self-awareness, adaptability and the application of learning in real-world situations. Drawing upon her extensive professional experience and interactions with diverse academic and professional communities, Ms. Parakkat encouraged students to reflect on their individual learning approaches and explore ways to make learning more effective and purposeful. She highlighted how self-awareness, adaptability and continuous learning can contribute to better decision-making, critical thinking and professional preparedness. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 100 students, who actively interacted with the resource person and benefited from her valuable insights and global perspective.

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma appreciated the initiative for providing students with meaningful global exposure and practical perspectives on learning. She emphasised that such interactive engagements empower students to understand their individual learning preferences while encouraging them to embrace adaptability and continuous learning as essential tools for future academic and professional success.
